Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, such as the ones you made to Bognor Regis. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.

You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:

If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (98.243.51.84) is used to identify you instead.

I hope that you, as a Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in St._Bartholomew's_Day_massacre, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. ~ Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk to me) 01:10, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for changing it back. It was the first time I placed the "no break" into the name of an article. The problem I was trying to correct is the large white space gap due to the image. (Additionally, the M should be capitalized.) Maybe you know how to make the article appearance better without causing reference problems?98.243.51.84 (talk) 14:27, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thomas Cholmondeley[edit]

I have reverted your edit to Thomas Cholmondeley because, per MOS:DABEXT, external links should not be used on disambiguation pages. Leschnei (talk) 02:03, 16 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Girth Summit. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Anne Manners, Lady Roos, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. GirthSummit (blether) 07:38, 18 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

The information is correct.98.243.51.84 (talk) 11:41, 5 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I replied to your comment on my talk page. FWIW, nobody said that the information was incorrect - the problem is that it was a substantial addition that was entirely unreferenced. GirthSummit (blether) 12:21, 5 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Grand Isle County, Vermont into Windsor County, Vermont. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:48, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Honey Creek Township, Iowa County, Iowa has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did.
