Please comment on an RfC about Living members of deposed royal families and the titles attributed to them on WP

Hello - I have opened an RfC about suggested guidelines in the Manual of Style for articles about living members of families whose ancestors were deposed as monarchs of various countries and the titles and "styles" attributed to these living people, at the moment often in a misleading and inaccurate way in my opinion. Please join in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Biographies "Use of royal "Titles and styles" and honorific prefixes in articles and templates referring to pretenders to abolished royal titles and their families"[1]Regards,Smeat75 (talk) 07:11, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Anup, Thanks again for taking the time to be so much help. It is very much appreciated I took your advice and mode a few changes tohttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Modernizing_Medicine It is much less sales like, and I also tried to make the connections that show the CEO's relevance with Blackboard Inc, and Courseinfo.

Hello Ryan, You perhaps missed signing at the bottom of your post. I read the submission. For the first, I would suggest you to establish notability of the subject of article. Do you have some sort of references(online or offline) for all texts what you wrote in there so that information could be verified? You are encouraged to read the Wikipedia notability guideline.AnupMehra 17:04, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Need help to correct the new article

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Sapience_%28software%29

My article was denied approval for reasons as cited below "This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources."

I want to bring to your attention that 15 out of 16 references are from third party reliable sources like IIT Bombay, The Economic Times newspaper, Livemint portal, Xconomy magazine, NASSCOM (software industry association), Dun and Bradstreet, IDG Magazine, Red Herring. Only one link referred to Sapience website for listing out executives.

Could you help me suggest what else is missing from the writeup, I got help last time from wiki editor and he suggested to model it on lines of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TuneUp_Utilities. Re-wrote entire article on same lines. I'm willing to make all the necessary changes to ensure it gets on Wikipedia.

Please help.

Thanks Avinash VirtualAvi (talk) 13:28, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@VirtualAvi: Hello, Did you notice a difference between these both articles? Features section is unsourced in yours. We need some sort of references there cited to make it in compliance with Wikipedia verifiablity policy. You're encouraged to update the sources and re-submit. Feel free to ask to me more questions. Modernizing Medicine

Hey Anup, thanks again for all the help. I've taken care of the citations. What else should I be doing? Are we getting close? :199.189.199.254 (talk) 20:48, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@TaraARyan: You've done good job adding some reliable sources that helps the article to meet theWikipedia notability standard. This is how you're getting close. It makes it eligible to be included into Wikipedia. Though, I would suggest you to read Wikipedia neutral point of view policy because at some instances the article reads like an advertisement. You can also improve your article, reading an Wikipedia essaynotWikipedia policy WP:BETTER. This page sets out advice on how to write an effective article, including information on layout, style, and how to make an article clear, precise and relevant to the reader. Good luck!AnupMehra 21:25, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Portal Mathematics categories

I have undone your changes to the categories for this portal. It is included in Category:Mathematics portalsandCategory:Mathematics via its membership of Category:Mathematics portal. There is no need to add it manually. Top level categories such as Category:Mathematics should have few or no pages in but should primarily contain other categories, and so on down the category tree. See WP:SUBCAT for the policy on this.--JohnBlackburnewordsdeeds 14:25, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

For Resubmission

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Mahavir Pratap Sharma I have made the changes in the above article. Please consider it for resubmission. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Didgeri (talkcontribs) 15:06, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Didgeri: Unfortunately, none of the sources cited in the body of the article helps to establishnotability. You need to show significant coverage of the person you are writing biography of, in thereliable sources. You should read, Wikipedia reliable sources example for better understanding. The Hindu is a reliable source, but it is dead link. You can also improve article reading Wikipedia neutral point of view, because at some points it reads like an advertisement. I would like to remind you to sign your posts by typing four tides (~ ~ ~ ~)without spaces at the end of the post. It automatically produces your signature. And you are requested to not remove previous AfC tags. You can also read How to write a better Wikipedia article. You can always re-submit your article notwithstanding any person's permission.
