About the Aclan Bates article, and more general questions: is devtiyatro.gov.tr the website of the the National Theatre of Turkey/ National Theater of Turkey?[edit]

Hi Bedogan,
I'm Shirt58 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log), an administrator on the English language Wikipedia. I'm also someone interested in theatre.
I can see that neither National Theatre of Turkey or National Theater of Turkey - mentioned in the Aclan Bates - article have never had English language Wikipedia articles.
I have also noticed that devtiyatro.gov.tr URL has been used as in references in some other English language Wikipedia articles:

The gov and trin ".gov.tr" suggests that that this perhaps the official website for a Turkish government-supported institution. Is this entity the National Theatre of Turkey/ National Theater of Turkey? Pete AU aka --Shirt58 (talk) 10:53, 31 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

Bedogan (talk) 03:44, 6 November 2019 (UTC)I am not being paid to edit this page, and do not expect to be paid for it.[reply]

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 19:03, 1 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am merely editing to provide sourcing and citations for what is already on the page. My purpose is not to promote anyone or anything, but rather to make more credible what was already on the page.
