Captain Powell
Hi Brainhe. I'm Wikimachine, and I saw your article Captain Powell (Dark Star). I say that we merge it into the Dark Star article. I don't see the need for a separate article for just a character in movie -especially an outdated one. You know, this is an encyclopedia. So could you take some moment to consider my suggestion? Thanks. (Wikimachine 02:26, 16 May 2006 (UTC))

Hoh River
Hello Brian,
I've noticed that you have submitted a few nice contributions to the article about Hoh River.
I am currently gathering feedback about the Hikipedia project (which also includes an article about Hoh River). Could you please give me some feedback about the Hikipedia site? Would you consider contributing to Hikipedia?
I know that one can add trail descriptions to a regular Wikipedia, but there are quite a few things that would be too difficult too acomplish: trail-oriented search, embedded weather forecast, voting for trail difficulty and enjoyability, trail reports, links and images of guidebooks.
Please let me know what you think about Hikipedia (you can use the feedback page, or reply here).
Thank you for your time,
Lukasz Anforowicz
Redundant cat
noting your redundant cat edits, what's the policy-guideline-direction on adding cat...sorry to be fudging it , but how do you decide? Listing in "Motorcycle manufacturers of the United States" does not make the topic appear in "Motorcycle manufacturers", so in what sense is that redundant? Seasalt 06:10, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Great cleanup job
I appreciate your cleanup job with the computer networking companies. You probably realize that I've been working quite a bit in that area and just today I realized "Networking companies of the United States" wasn't connected at all to the networking subtree as it should be. Thanks for sorting out the cat / subcat stuff! This month I have been trying to thin out the "Computer hardware companies" cat by creating new cats when justified and just generally shifting things around to sharper categories. Jellybeans
Here are some Jelly beans for you. I love jelly beans as they have sugar in them and most people love sugar. But on the other hand just receiving somthing from somone else just makes you happy and also just giving this to you makes me happy. I hope to spread the jelly beans all over Wikipedia, so here, you can have this lot. Please enjoy them. (I like the lime ones.)
Editors need a bit of a sugar high too.

Seattle categorizations
On the whole, I appreciate the work you are doing on Seattle categorizations, but I believe that at least two of these are wrong, one dead wrong. You placed Picardo Farm under Category:Parks in Seattle. Picardo Farm is not a park. It is not even under the jurisdiction of the Department of Parks and Recreation, it is under the jurisdiction of the Department of Neighborhoods. Similarly, the inclusion of P-Patch in Category:Parks in Seattle is not entirely wrong (since some of them are in parks), but is misleading (because many, such as Picardo Farm, are not). - Jmabel | Talk 20:53, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm, I suppose it could go under Seattle government but that's a little obscure. Parks is the closest we have for a category for these things but I agree it's a little imperfect. I'd prefer not to leave it in the top-level Seattle category. I'm open to suggestions. Brianhe 23:00, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
Satra
why motorcycles (its not a motorcycle brand) rather than motorcycling? just curious about the logic. Seasalt 11:16, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
- Good question, I almost put a short explanation in the edit log but here it is. Satra was a distributor. We don't have a place for it but if we did, I thought it would be in the motorcycles cat, analagous to vehicles->automobiles->auto dealerships. Brianhe 16:20, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
- Cossack isnt just a classification but brand name used by Satra to market Soviet bikes, in same way Matchless put AJS badges on matchless bikes. Just so long as u knew that & still thought "motorcycle classification" was best category.... also on Dnepr a bot changed category sidecar to sidecars...Seasalt 11:05, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

re-establish deleted draft for editing
Hi Brianhe, I just found your note in my spam folder after realizing that my article was deleted. In regards to the possible conflict of interest, here are some data points: Factor Analysis of Information Risk (FAIR) is an international standard by the Open Group. I do work for RiskLens, who has built a solution leveraging the standard, but FAIR is an open standard that many other companies have adopted, mostly NOT in conjunction of our product. I can eliminate the reference to rislklens if that avoids any possible conflict of interest. In light of this, can you please re=establish my draft that I will resubmit to you for review with the above mentioned edit? Thank you. nicksanna Nicksanna (talk) 15:02, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
Stop deleting
User:Neerawrites Please help to stop delete this page Sreedhar_TN —Preceding undated comment added 14:27, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Neerawrites:You made your opinion known at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sreedhar TN. Not sure what you're asking me to do here. - Brianhe (talk) 15:39, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Brianhe: The page Sreedhar_TN seems it will be deleted, advise me to protect that page from deleting.
- @Neerawrites: there's really one thing to do at this point: improve the article so it passes WP: Notability requirements. It's sometimes a struggle with new people to an industry like film to find things that pass the reliable source criteria, so I'll just advise you in advance that personal blogs and small websites probably will not help. Good luck and hope you enjoy contributing here, even if this particular article doesn't work out. - Brianhe (talk) 02:26, 8 October 2016 (UTC)
Leo Burnett

Hi Bri - thanks for reaching out to me about the deletion you made.
I'm still learning this Wiki thing and maybe you can help me. I didn't add a reference to the Charlie the Tuna addition that you deleted because I had previously cited the source when I first mentioned that lovable Tuna, Charlie.
See: "Leo Burnett has created some of the most widely known advertising characters in modern culture. The Jolly Green Giant and the lonely, Maytag repairman are both inventions of Leo Burnett. Charlie the Tuna and Morris the Cat came from the creative minds at Leo Burnett. The agency started in the middle of the United States and grew by understanding the minds of middle America. [4]"
I added that piece one day and then later came back and added the section for Charlie under Clients because that's a notable client.
So, when I mention Charlie again, am I supposed to cite the same reference again? Please let me know because I was planning on going back and adding Morris the Cat, since Morris has his own Wiki and the Jolly Green Giant since Leo Burnett was the guy that turned a scowling giant caveman into the friendly Jolly Green Giant we know today.
You can let me know how you want me to do this on my talk pageNot Wilkins (talk) 14:01, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
Edit Conflict on
Rabiya Mateo
Hi. I just noticed that the birthdate of Rabiya Mateo is wrong. It's not January 11, 1996 as claimed by the references provided there which are not reliable such as Dreshare (the source of their articles are from Facebook).
I would like to provide references instead and I hope you would help change her birthdate from January 11, 1996 into November 14, 1996. These are the reliable references proving that she was born on November 14, 1996:
1. Inquirer.net https://cebudailynews.inquirer.net/350717/miss-universe-philippines-2020-calls-for-fellow-ilonggos-to-give-donations-for-typhoon-victims
3. ABS-CBN News https://news.abs-cbn.com/life/11/12/20/rabiya-mateos-homecoming-in-iloilo-set-on-november-13
5. Panay News https://www.panaynews.net/red-is-power-ilonggos-paint-the-city-red-to-welcome-rabiya-mateo-home-2/
I hope you will help me in this because the page of Rabiya Mateo is protected. Updating her birthdate using her real birthdate will avoid confusion to our readers. You can check the references I mentioned above as proofs for what I said. Thank you very much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CCstrong (talk • contribs) 03:30, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
Why did you remove the results table for Miss USA 2020? That it will announce into an elimination sequence format: Top 16 → Top 10 → Top 5 → Top 3. But a 2 runners-up and a winner will still reveal like in the past four editions. ApprenticeFan work 04:10, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
- I do not understand your statement about the elimination format. But this is confusing to a reader as it shows an empty table. Better, I think, to wait until there is something to show. ☆ Bri (talk) 04:19, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
- There was something weird happening in the official Miss USA website that Wyoming's representative (pretends to be shocked) has been "changed" and considered not a fake news. Look at this and without any giving reliable sources, if you check the link of the delegate first and the bio should be there, but it became empty. This should not be truly made official. - Afraid I still don't understand. Why don't you propose whatever you want to change on the article's talkpage? ☆ Bri (talk) 02:40, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
