Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Deon Taylor requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Pirate452 (talk) 22:55, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies, we are not intentionally vandalizing our own page, merely finding out the hard way which coding does/does not work. Thank you.

I have nominated Deon Taylor, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Deon Taylor. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Dr. Blofeld White cat 10:31, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you deleting the director if his movies are on wikipedia? I noticed his name was in the movie articles and tagged but he did not have his own page. I am not Deon Taylor, I am not the photographer of Deon Tayler, etc. I am not a shameless self promoter, I am adding the director up of a small indie horror following. There are links to his name on the official list for NBAEL, his own personal interview in this own words for citation purposes, his bio at IMDB.com. Why is that not official enough? Does he need to have a book published on him first? His birth certificate?

It would greatly help matters if you could disclose what relationship, if any, you have to Deon Taylor. How did you get his photograph? Thanks, Racepacket (talk) 16:27, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This was already addressed on the "discussion" page of Deon Taylor. I took down the photo to comply with rules, why did you put it back up? I'm trying to keep the article up without being deleted. I am taking down the photo again, could you please take down the tag? In order to put a photo up Wikipedia said I needed to create an account, I tried uploading a link, but it said I had to do it from my own computer, so I uploaded the photo from my own computer, and did whatever I could to make sure it wasn't deleted in 7 days. I must have done something incorrectly because now people are claiming I'm the bloody photographer. I took the photo down until I can figure out what it is I'm suppose to do. Thanks.
I think the problem is that when you uploaded the photo you said that you took it. If you did not take the photo yourself, how did you get it? Do you have any direct or indirect connections to Deon Taylor (e.g., is he a friend, family member, etc.) Racepacket (talk) 17:21, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This is the website I got the photograph from: http://www.todaysdrum.com/3637/director-deon-taylor-makes-horror-flicks-and-comedies-with-an-eye-on-the-bottom-line/ I just tried re-uploading it, hopefully putting down the right info (I did see an option for "from a website" this time), but once again it's giving me warning signs that I don't have a license for a public picture on the internet and that the photo will be deleted in 7 days. Not sure how to keep a photo up at this point. He is not a person I know, I just liked Dead Tone and saw the director didn't even have his own page like his movies did. Maybe it's best I don't put a picture up at all, I was merely trying to make it look more official.
The problem is that most photos are owned by either the photographer or the person that hired the photographer. If you don't have the ownership rights to a photo, please don't upload it. In this case, you mistakenly claimed to be the photographer. When the instructions say "do not upload it from a URL", that includes downloading it to your computer just so that you can upload it. May I suggest that you spend some time learning about Wikipedia and making edits to existing articles before you try to write one from scratch? I appreciate your interest in the project, but there is a bit of a learning curve and there are plenty of ways that you can contribute while you learn more about it. Thanks, Racepacket (talk) 18:05, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. I was also a bit "noobish" when I started editing and my articles were nominated for deletion, but eventually you'll get a hang of it.--PinkBull 00:22, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
