Translating[edit]
Hi. When translating from other language versions of Wikipedia, such as at Reding Fountain, you need to give attribution:
- You must provide copyright attribution in the edit summary accompanying your translation by providing an interlanguage link to the source of your translation. A model attribution edit summary Content in this edit is translated from the existing Spanish Wikipedia article at es:Fuente de Reding; see its history for attribution.
- You should also add the template {{Translated|es|Fuente de Reding}} to the talk page.

- Hi. Apologies, I didn't look at the page history for the Spanish article. Whilst there is nothing in Wikipedia:Translation to cover this, WP:NOATT, which is part of Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia, does cover it, effectively saying you don't need to give attribution to yourself. I've already added {{Translated|es|Fuente de Reding}} to the talk page. Although it looks like it's not necessary, it might be an idea to retain it to prevent anybody else querying the attribution. The page John Pimlott (historian) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement.
