GA hold

Please see Talk:Birmingham Americans/GA1 for more information. Article is on GA hold. Chris (talk) 15:19, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

It passed. Congratulations. Good job. Chris (talk) 13:44, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
Woo-hoo! Thanks. - Dravecky (talk) 19:45, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
Nice work! -- Dystopos (talk) 21:59, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

DC Comics TV navbox

Having created the DC Comics TV template, I started placing it on the articles listed in it, beginning at the top. As I approached the bottom, I found it already in place. My watchlist then informed me that you were responsible for one (the Superman musical; I certainly do not have all of those on my list). I assume you saw the situation on your watchlist, and pitched in from the bottom up. Thanks. --Tbrittreid (talk) 22:04, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

Yes, I saw you'd placed it on the 1992 Human Target series article I created and figured I'd help out. - Dravecky (talk) 22:36, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

List of commanders of the USS Oklahoma

The reference gives 8:03 as the time of abandoning ship, and 8:06 as capsizing. Kenworthy jumped at 8:04, giving the call at 8:03. I've replied at T:TDYK Buggie111 (talk) 00:50, 6 May 2010 (UTC)

Changes to '74 Steelers article

You recently wikilinked a couple of the draftees on the 1974 Pittsburgh Steelers season page. I reverted these edits because neither of these players appears to meet the notability standards for inclusion on WP. Specifically, it appears that neither of these guys ever participated in an NFL game. Neither has a listing on either NFL.com or Pro-Football-Reference. If you disagree with my assessment, please let me know on what grounds these players meet WP:ATHLETE. Thanks — DeeJayK (talk) 17:52, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

They played for the Birmingham Americans of the World Football League in 1974, the team that won the first (and only) World Bowl. My intent is to have at least C class article for every member of this championship team by the end of this calendar year. If you're more comfortable without the redlinks, I've no strong objection to waiting until the articles have been created to re-link their names from the Steelers page. - Dravecky (talk) 21:07, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply. I don't really have a strong aversion to the redlinks as long as there is hope that the articles will some day exist. I just don't like to see redlinks to pages that may never exist. If you are committed to creating articles for these guys, that's great. — DeeJayK (talk) 21:48, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Nebula Stream

I see you're also watching the SFWA Nebula Award stream! :-) --SouthernNights (talk) 02:40, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Yup. - Dravecky (talk) 02:41, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
I love that they're now offering this stream.--SouthernNights (talk) 02:44, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Heck yes. - Dravecky (talk) 02:46, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
In general, I'm very pleased with the winners!--SouthernNights (talk) 02:55, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I'm pretty pleased with this crop but I was only 3/6 on my predictions. - Dravecky (talk) 02:57, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

WQJJ-LP (Jasper, Alabama) Logo Update Help, Please?

Please pardon me for asking but, after MONTHS of asking and hoping and trying, I am turning to you for help in updating a radio station logo that - because of conflicts with a previous manager who registered everything in his name - is a violation of copyright. (The fact of the matter is that I have not ever been able to figure out the process for updating images, here.)

Would you PLEASE help me with replacing the logo on the "WQJJ-LP" page with the one found at http://www.jaspersfm.com/images/Fox-FM-Web.png so that we can finally get this guy to stop ordering me to "cease and desist" with the use of "his" logo which I did not post there and have, to date, been completely unable to replace with the current (correct) logo?

Yes, my wife and I do own the station. If you require verification of this, contact me at any of the numbers or emails on the station website.

Thanks in advance. 24.197.25.69 (talk) 06:47, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

I've updated the logo, as you requested. I've also removed the unreferenced commentary about the station's former manager from the WQJJ-LP article over biographies of living persons concerns and for encyclopedic tone. Also, please do not make unsupported or editorial comments in WJLX or any other Wikipedia article. Attacking a competitor is unprofessional and a violation of Wikipedia's conflist of interest rules. - Dravecky (talk) 09:17, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
I have also updated the linkage to the website on the infobox and external links section. All the websites listed go to this website, so I just linked to that one as linking to three weren't necessary. I did a little tinkering also, but just minor stuff. Dravecky did the majority of the work. - NeutralHomerTalk • 09:31, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Many, many thanks! I'll see if I can locate the employee who has also edited from here. We also do not condone personal attacks against anyone. On the other hand, I'll have just a bit of trouble in finding and/or disciplining anyone for this as everything they posted was fact and the guy they talk about literally carried away even the filing cabinets with all of the business records included. (It's just kinda funny in a way that this can be accomplished in this modern world.) There are SEVERAL former co-workers of his here who are "disgruntled" to say the least. Particularly those who he left personally owing money so, we are having to watch this very closely.
There are normally three separate websites associated with this station. However, due to the issues mentioned above, all of them are now temporarily forwarded to one site (yes, he even registered the hosting accounts in his name) pending the rebuilding of two of the sites. I do need to modify the one link to link to the station's actual (permanent) url, instead of the temporary (monsterfm.com) so that we don't forget to switch back to that one when the site is rebuilt on a new server but, I am capable of doing that, myself.
Again, I do thank you as this is indeed proving to be a project of monumental proportions. At this point, I am not a big advocate of trusting anyone (employee, best friend or even a spouse) with passwords and administrative access to anything at all. But thanks again for your helping with this. 24.197.25.69 (talk) 10:25, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
You're welcome. If anonymous editing on this article becomes a problem, it can be "semi-protected" to prevent anonymous users from editing it as a deterrent to vandalism. Good luck getting your server back in order. - Dravecky (talk) 18:23, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
One additional thing that I have done (and please forgive me for not being more familiar with Wikipedia editing policies) is add links to several vital - one of which has actually saved lives - online free services offered by our station. Could you please check these for acceptability, formatting, etc.? I have an article in which the local Emergency Management Agency cited our W.A.R.N. page (dealing with local emergencies) as a "life saver" during storms (tornadoes) in April of this year. I will add a link to this as soon as I can find it again. Possibly, I will have to get the EMA manager to locate it for me as the W.A.R.N. and the Jasper News page are a collaborative efforts between our station and several area government agencies. Once again, I apologize for taking up your time and I do very much appreciate your guidance. 24.197.25.69 (talk) 08:23, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
No worries about my time. While a link to your station's official website is right and proper for this encyclopedia article about the station, excess external links are not permitted. You'd do best to make them prominent on your station's home page rather then link them directly from Wikipedia. - Dravecky (talk) 13:27, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

Could you take a look at the WABC-AM page and see what you think of this ongoing vandalism (I think it is vandalism). Who is right in this situation? - NeutralHomerTalk • 14:07, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

Hey Dravecky, could you take a look at the WABC-AM page and also here, here and here (all somehow related though TV stations) and let me know exactly what I should do in this situation. - NeutralHomerTalk • 20:32, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

International Paralegal Management Association

You deleted the page I created. This is my first wikipage and i realized what I did wrong. Can I have back a text file of that page so that I can fix it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pcnascimento (talkcontribs) 19:36, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

Done. You'll find it at User:Pcnascimento/International Paralegal Management Association for your editing and refinement. Please be aware that, in addition to the promotional and notability concerns, as it stands the page is largely a copyright violation of the organization's membership page. That needs to be fixed right away. - Dravecky (talk) 20:00, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, I am on it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pcnascimento (talkcontribs) 20:04, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

If KONK is LMA'ing on 1500 WKIZ, wouldn't we need to move the KONK page to WKIZ? - NeutralHomerTalk • 23:27, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

I'd say to not move it, since it has significant history independent of WKIZ. - Dravecky (talk) 00:36, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
Okie Dokie, just wanted to check. Thanks Dude. :) - NeutralHomerTalk • 00:38, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
