FLCs

Hey. As one of WP:FLCs biggest contributors, I was hoping to ask you to revisit some (or all!) of the lists you've reviewed recently and see if any concerns you might have raised have subsequently been addressed. FLCs are gaining a lot of interest and plenty of comments but not many supports or opposes - while the "four supports" minimum has been removed, lists still need community consensus for them to be promoted. Thanks for your contributions so far, keep up the great work. The Rambling Man (talk) 16:51, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Would you mind performing the GA review for this article? If you choose to do so, thankyou in advance. The Bookkeeper (of the Occult) 05:16, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

"What makes these sites reliable?"

Gave you your answear on the talk page. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 09:04, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Her

[1] hers a list of all the chart positions in 2006. Many of these you can't find on australian-charts.com. This chart shows all the american chart positions back to the 60s. The Billboard deletes all chart positions after 20 years. Her [2]. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 20:46, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

No problem. But its not only the australian the german chart has the same problem. Her is an archive for the german charting released [3]. Found out when i saw the Lostprophets chart positions. There are more problems like this like with the irish album chart, impossible to hold track on. Another thing heres a answear for the missing new zealand chart positions. [4] look at it. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 09:51, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
I was wrong. This source [5] shows only the canadian chart positons i think. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 09:58, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

Adminship

Hello. I have taken a look at your edits, and find them to be quite impressive. As a result, I was wondering if you could consider running for adminship at WP:RFA. I'd gladly nominate you if you're interested. Just let me know what you plan to use the tools for and I'll see if you have the necessary experience. Let me know of your decision. Wizardman 22:28, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Alright. While adminship in itself isn't really a big deal, the RfA process is, so I would try and work on other areas of expertise if you can (they like article writers, so no problems there) Wizardman 23:00, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
zOMG. I'm totally co-nomming. Seriously. Btw. I replied to that AusCharts stuff here. Short answer; Oooooo crap. —Giggy 06:04, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

Sepultura discography

Hi Drewcifer. When you get a chance, can you revisit this FLC and give opinion/support/oppose? Cheers dude. Keep up the good work by the way! The Rambling Man (talk) 07:21, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi, Sorry the delay, but I could not fail to thank you the help that you gave me for this discography. Thank you very much! :) Cannibaloki 18:12, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

NIN FTC

Began but not completed? :O Gary King (talk) 05:02, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Ah there you go. Gary King (talk) 05:03, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
You took a whole 10 minutes! Madness :| Also, when will the NIN studio albums FTC come? ;) Gary King (talk) 05:08, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Sales thresholds

I've noticed you added this link to a couple of discographies. Its a very good idea (and the article at the end of it is also featured :)), but one thing--these certifications are based on units shipped rather than sold aren't they? So is the terminology accurate? indopug (talk) 22:38, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

I know the intention was to wait for the next album to be released, in August, before renominating but would this single do? — Balthazar (T|C) 22:56, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, that seems a better idea, especially since the single was released on the same day the first nom discussion was closed. — Balthazar (T|C) 20:26, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Rollback

Technically, it should be requested at WP:RFR, but I don't see why it would be declined, so I went ahead and gave it to you. Wizardman 03:14, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

With Teeth

The Recording and Tour sections are more or less done (for GA-level at least). Music could use some expansion. Once you add more details to the Release and Reception sections, let me know and I'll go over the prose. WesleyDodds (talk) 07:00, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

re: Ghosts

Hi, I will be able to get to it this upcoming week. I've been slammed at work so haven't had much Wiki time. --Laser brain (talk) 16:08, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

I just noticed this failed. Me <3 NIN, so I'd love to see this article as an FA. Nudge nudge, wink wink. Gary King (talk) 05:29, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:The Perfect Drug music video.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:The Perfect Drug music video.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 03:19, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Unreleased song lists

Hey Drewcifer. I know per the developing MoS for discog articles that unreleased songs are discouraged. Would this be a policy that applies to free-standing unreleased song articles? I have a lot of time for your views, and would be interested in your opinion. I have nominated List of unreleased Spice Girls songs for deletion and am interested in nominating a lot more similiar articles. Do you think this is a good idea? Slipknot band members FLC

I see that you're on a break, but if you do happen to get this messege I just wanted to let you know that I've revised the prose on List of Slipknot band members per your comments the the review page. Let me know if there's any additional fixes needed. Thank you! Blackngold29 05:50, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

You previously left comments on the FLC for this article and I would appreciate if you could look the article over again as many changes have been made and I think your concerns have been dealt with. REZTER TALK ø 07:23, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Just a quick reminder, it's been a few days and I believe all your comments about List of Slipknot band members have been adressed. If there is anything else please let us know. Thank you! Blackngold29 03:14, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Great news!

Remember this? I was on AusCharts for another article today and noticed something looked different... so I checked and wammy! All the data you were concerned about is now available on the site. Yay. :-) —Giggy 08:38, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Awards/discog FLCs

Hi Drewcifer, I'd really appreciate it if you could have a look at some of our music related backlog? I don't want to unnecessarily archive the overdue noms but a lot of them have simply failed to generate much interest. Cheers! The Rambling Man (talk) 10:54, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

No problemo - anything you can do to help is appreciated. Enjoy the break! The Rambling Man (talk) 11:04, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Rock music WikiProject

I'd like to invite you to join the newly-formed Rock music WikiProject. There's alot of Rock-related articles on Wikipedia that could use a little attention, and I hope this project can help organize an effort to improve them. So please, take a look and if you like what you see, help us get this project off the ground and a few Rock music pages into the front ranks of Wikipedia articles. Thanks! --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 19:27, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I've noticed that you've been involved in reviewing the article, so I'm asking you if you think its a good idea to move third party commentaries on the article to its own section instead of being mixed with facts? I personally feel that they are given undue weight and could be taken as facts instead of opinions--PCPP (talk) 16:53, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

I refer to my previous request to you to reassess the article wrt WP:GA. For your information, it has recently been subject to huge editing partisan editing effort, and it is now beyond doubt (to me) that it no longer meets GA criteria, as it contains factual inaccuracies, and is in complete violation of WP:NPOV. Please refer to my comments at Talk:Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident/GA1 Ohconfucius (talk) 02:17, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Dud

The thing with minimize the chart positions is not jet a rule, so you can't go on all the FL candidates and do it, this is another proof that more people are against it. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 06:33, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Nice photo, but please upload to Commons

Thank you for uploading images/media such as Image:Imran Khan.jpg to Wikipedia! As you may know, there is another Wikimedia Foundation project called Wikimedia Commons, a central media repository for all free media. In future, please upload media there instead (see m:Help:Unified login). That way, all of the other language Wikipedias can use them too, as well as our many sister projects. This will also allow our visitors to search for, view and use our media in one central location. If you wish to move previous uploads to Commons, see Wikipedia:Moving images to the Commons (you may view images you have previously uploaded by going to your user contributions on the left and choosing the 'image' namespace from the drop down box). Please note that non-free content, such as images claimed as fair use, cannot be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. Help us spread the word about Commons by informing other users, and please continue uploading! Richard001 (talk) 10:20, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Heavy metal barnstar

The Heavy metal music Barnstar
This is for improving Nine Inch Nails related articles, a metal act which has penned some great tunes. Keep up the good work. LuciferMorgan (talk) 18:35, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Nine Inch Nails live-band members or live band members?

I was wondering why this article was titled list of Nine Inch Nails live-band members. I'm not sure why there is a hyphen betweeen "live" and "band"; the Nine Inch Nails article seems to refer to it as the live-band or live band interchangeably. Can you clarify this for me? Xnux the Echidna 14:42, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Re: Reliable sources

I added it because it listed the same type of sources used at Zobbel. I am, however, now not so sure. Looking over the sites information section, it listed UKMix.org (a chart forum) as one of it's sources, which probably isn't very reliable. -- Underneath-it-All (talk) 00:14, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Drewcifer, this list is now overdue and there are still some outstanding issues, particularly citations for music video directors. Can you give me an indication of whether you'll be fixing it or if I should archive it for another run at FLC in the near future? Hope all is well. The Rambling Man (talk) 07:06, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

No worries Drewcifer, it's archived now. Come back to it when you've got the time. All the best. The Rambling Man (talk) 07:37, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Backlog

Hi Drewcifer, I know you're busy but there are three music-related lists in the bottom five of the FLC backlog, one of which has no comments at all (Natasha Bedingfield awards) besides mine. I know you're busy but any reviews you could provide would be awesome. The Rambling Man (talk) 08:31, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
