2012 German Grand Prix

[edit]

Hi Jack,

I noticed you recently recreated the 2012 German Grand Prix page, and while I have to say that I'm happy to see your enthusiasm, I think you should be aware that, as a rule, the Formula 1 editors generally don't create the page for a new race until the current one has taken place, so this probably could have waited a few days before being made. Don't worry - you're only a day early in making it, but if we start making the 2012 German Grand Prix page a day early, then we might end up making the 2012 Hungarian Grand Prix page two days early, and the whole thing will snowball until it gets to the point where we have pages prepared six months in advance that are just sitting there, doing nothing. So, as per the consensus established over at WP:F1 (which you're more than welcome to join if you aren't already a part of it), we don't create pages for upcoming races until the current race is over. It's okay this time, and you certainly haven't done anything wrong, but in the future, please wait a bit before making a page for an upcoming race. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Dizzee Rascal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bonkers (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

"A lap in a Formula One car" sections

[edit]

Hi, you've recently added a section to the Gilles Villeneuve track's article. Please reference your sources (the only references you added so far are for names of the turns). If you copied the description from somewhere, please reference the source, but if you created it yourself then it may be considered an original research and deleted. Same goes for any other similar edits you may have made to other tracks' articles. Thank you. cherkash (talk) 00:12, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like you lifting those sections word-for-word from somewhere else. Wikipedia expressly discourages such edits. Consider removing those sections altogether. cherkash (talk) 03:04, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
