September 2012[edit]

Hi, i have noticed that you have added a fan club website to the infobox in the article Kajal Aggarwal. I want to let you know that only official websites are to be listed and hence i have reverted your edit. So, please make sure you don't add the link back unless it's an official webpage. Thanks, krZna (talk) 17:52, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Torreslfchero. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Kajal Aggarwal, because to me it seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Torreslfchero (talk) 20:16, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Kajal Aggarwal. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Torreslfchero (talk) 08:39, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Kajal Aggarwal shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. krZna (talk) 09:03, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Kajal Aggarwal[edit]

Wikipedia rules say that only the official site is to included on the article. You included a site which was not official which was reverted (undone) by me and also some other users as well since this is against rules of Wikipedia. You must be aware that you might be blocked if you continue adding links (that are not official) after the warnings you have received. Torreslfchero (talk) 09:29, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31h for your disruption caused by edit warring and violation of the three-revert rule at Kajal Aggarwal. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
