Polski Związek Orientacji Sportowej

Hi Kslotte. Can you expand Polski Związek Orientacji Sportowej? Maybe add what the federation is most notable for? Any firsts? Think about getting the article ready to appear on the Main Page, in the Did you Know? section. --Una Smith (talk) 16:27, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

I only fixed some links, that's all. Kslotte (talk) 18:53, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 23:20, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

DYK for Mika Tervala

Updated DYK query On June 28, 2009, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Mika Tervala, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

FIS Nordic World Ski Championship edits

I reverted some of your edits on the men's cross country skiing articles. The listing you had on the 15 km events were overkill, in my opinion. As far as the category deletions, I had no objections to. Chris (talk) 20:30, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

That's OK and good choice. I was thinking of maybe reverting it myself. --Kslotte (talk) 20:32, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Greetings from the Mountain Biking Task Force!

Thank you for your past contributions to one or more of Wikipedia's mountain biking-related articles. Have you considered helping us out at the Mountain Biking task force? It's a group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of mountain biking.

If you have any questions, please ask at the TF's talk page, or feel free to ask me on my talk page.

  • Thank you for your work in categorizing mountain biking-related articles. Keep up the good work! And don't forget to sign your name on the list of participants - it's looking a little empty right now. Lastly, don't forget to grab your bike and get out there! Sundays are perfect for riding... I don't need any credits. when I have categorized and organized all mountain biking-related articles, ehen I'll pass onto next "project.

Mountain running / orienteering

Please note that mountain running is not a type of orienteering, and therefore mountain runners should not be classified as such unless they are also recognized as orienteers in their own right. Mountain runners like those listed below do not follow a fixed course in the way that track runners do, but at the same time they are not required to navigate as an orienteer would, and they certainly don't need maps or compasses. I have reverted your orienteering-related edits to Rob Jebb, Heather Goodman, Erica Larson, Anna Pichrtová, Corinne Favre, and Stéphanie Jiménez, as these articles were on my watchlist. However there may be other pages I have overlooked, since I did not checked your entire edit history on this subject.

I've also removed Category:Mountain runners from Category:Orienteers for the same reason. Finally, I've removed the CfD template from Category:Mountain runners, as the request was incomplete. You need to follow the step-by-step instructions at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion#Procedure; merely adding the template to the category is insufficient. Regards, --DeLarge (talk) 15:38, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

OK, I should revert what is needed. Maybe, the Fell running article could be more clear on what it its relation to orienteering and to any type of navigation. --Kslotte (talk) 16:06, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
Clean-up done. --Kslotte (talk) 16:06, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
I finally understood what I missed; the difference between mountain running and mountain marathon. I made navboxes reflect the difference more clearly. Thank's for pointing this out. --Kslotte (talk) 01:21, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Issue (computers)

The article Issue (computers) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A search for reference found nothing (other then mirrors, and references back to this article on Wikipedia), to support the assertions of this article. "In computing, the term issue is a unit of work to accomplish an improvement". Delete per WP:OR, WP:V

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

I see you have argued that this is real term used in IT. As a computer term it should be easy to find online references. Please provide them, if they exist i.e. WP:PROVEIT. Jeepday (talk) 16:29, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Your recent bot approvals request has been approved. Please see the request page for details. Kingpin13 (talk) 19:28, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

Typo?

Is it really {{Orienteering|type=conepts}}? Conepts? --Una Smith (talk) 19:14, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

The wiki is fine, the change description has a typo. --Kslotte (talk) 21:46, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

Template:Sport

What problems were being caused by my creation of Template:Sport? It now screws up that articles that I placed it in eg. Sport. Cheers.-- Alan Liefting (talk) - 01:15, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

There was about 20 articles that used the redirect before. But it seems like you have fixed it now. --Kslotte (talk) 09:26, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

category deletion (Mountain bike racing in the United Kingdom, etc)

I saw that you started the deletion procedure for some mountain bike related categories, for example "Mountain bike racing in the United Kingdom". I can not find the discussion on the deletion. Are you sure that you also finished the procedure? --EdgeNavidad (talk) 08:25, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

I made a new category named "Mountain bike races and events in the United Kingdom". Naming changed because there are some events that cannot be called races. Even better should have been "Mountain biking races and events in the United Kingdom"; more a typo mistake from my side. There are no discussions about any deletion, since I'm the one that have completely restructured the articles in categories. The MTB article categories was quite a jungle before. --Kslotte (talk) 08:45, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
But on Category:Mountain bike racing in the United Kingdom, there is a note that the (empty) category is considered for deletion. You should complete the procedure by adding {{subst:cfd2|Mountain bike racing in the United Kingdom|text='''Delete'''. Your reason(s) for the proposed deletion. ~~~~}} to the categories discussion. I think you have a good reason, so the deletion debate will not be any problem at all. Also, the next time it might be better to move the category, instead of removing the old one and starting a new one.--EdgeNavidad (talk) 09:49, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for the tip. I'll take closer look at these moving and deletion procedures. --Kslotte (talk) 10:07, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

Deletion of Template:Orienteering concepts

Hi, on 24 August, you marked Template:Orienteering concepts for deletion, but didn't list it on WP:TfD, so I did that now. Svick (talk) 10:28, 10 September 2009 (UTC)

OK, checked the entry, looks good with correct reason. --Kslotte (talk) 12:07, 10 September 2009 (UTC)

I notice that you moved the text of one template to the other. This is usually a bad thing. I've asked that an administrator merge the histories, or resolve it some other way. 81.110.104.91 (talk) 17:43, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

OK, I didn't know the WP:CPMV. Thanks for pointing that out, will be useful in the type of things I do on Wikipedia. --Kslotte (talk) 19:57, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
