help!![edit]

Hii!! How are you? I hope you're fine! I'm Cristy ! the new user you adopted some days ago. As you can see i need some help here in wikipedia. I need to sharpen up my user page and start editing articles. I have read some directions to do so, but i'm a little confused. Can you help me? I would be so thankful if you could help me! Thanks, Cristy :D

Well, if you want to improve your user page a good option are the userboxes, in general they help to give a different look of your space or talk about yourself. Also, a good option is checking other's user pages, some examples would be User:Jimbo Wales (the fouder), User:Omtay38, User:Niagara, User:J Crow and User:ThinkBlue, among others, could give you an idea. And about starting editing articles, it is important to know what exactly you going to do. Your teacher told me that you should expand and improve articles to a B-Class (or GA-Class) status, but it is important to know how to edit. It's not difficult as you've seen. Also is a good idea create an own sandbox (for example mine) and expand articles there, in your case would be User:Mcchb0418/Sandbox; or even edit in the main article, does not really matter if you commit mistakes. Also take a short look to Wikipedia's five pillars, in general those are important rules, especially:
  • Verifiability: All information shouldmust go with a source, online or offline, in English or in other language.
  • Original research: Do not add ideas or facts without a reliable source.
  • Neutral Point of View: Practically you would never have a neutral point of view, unless you don't are involved enough with an article. All information you write must be written the most neutral possible.
  • Biographies of living people: All Biographies of living people must be written in a neutral point of view, and must have a reliable source. Poorly sourced information about living people, does not matter if it is positive, negative, neutral, good or bad, must be removed without discussion.

In general those are the most important rules, if you need more help you know were cyou can find me. TbhotchTalk C. 06:37, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pluma Hidalgo[edit]

I took a quick look at Pluma Hidalgo. Remember you need to have three paragraphs of 8 to 10 sentences, 1 is the lead and the other two are sections. Take two of the sections in the Enciclopedia article about this place that have the most information and write a paraphrase in paragraph form.Thelmadatter (talk) 18:34, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Help![edit]

Hi! How are you? I hope you're doing fine :D ! Well i haven't been here for a while but i've been busy with school, exams and everything .. Sorry for that... :P My teacher told usin class to ask for help from our adopters to help us in the theme to write an article in wikipedia. What would be interesting to write in wikipedia? Because i think that she wants us to write a new article but i don't know what should be interesting and with concrete information from existing internet sites or books. I thinks that maybe something about Mexico´s bicentennial would be interesting. but what do you think?

Thanks, Mcchb0418 (talk) 14:12, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you can write whatever you belive interesting, of course is very important make a research before, becuase information can not be found. and about the Mexico's bicentennial, your teacher already did it, so it would be difficult. If you need to create another article, you need to think what article is not now, that passes the notability needed (places always pass it with '"X" is a municipality in Mexico'), also if is obligatory to create a Mexico-related article or either article. I created Electricidad, you also would create a musical-related article or a place in Mexico, or maybe a film or a school, or TV program, an actor or actress; the important is that you need to get enough information for create it.
