You may have noticed over the past few days that the MOTD that you link to on your user page has simply displayed a red link. This is due to the fact that not enough people are reviewing pending MOTDs here. Please help us keep the MOTD template alive and simply go and review a few of the MOTDs in the list. That way we can have a real MOTD in the future rather than re-using (This space for rent). Any help would be appreciated! ·Add§hore· Talk To Me! 14:09, 6 March 2012 (UTC)

Page Curation newsletter

Hey Meshach. I'm dropping you a note because you used to (or still do!) patrol new pages. This is just to let you know that we've deployed and developed Page Curation, which augments and supersedes Special:NewPages - there are a lot of interesting new features :). There's some help documentation here if you want to familiarise yourself with the system and start using it. If you find any bugs or have requests for new features, let us know here. Thanks! Your request for rollback

Hi Meshach. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Beeblebrox (talk) 19:47, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

Thanks! meshach (talk) 01:24, 24 September 2013 (UTC)

Recent edit

Uh yeah, hi, regarding the Cain and Abel article edit. That was not me! Looks like my account or IP address might be compromised.

Alexkvaskov (talk) 21:21, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

Not sure exactly which one you are referring to but if is an IP edit it could have certainly been someone else. Sorry for the confusion! meshach (talk) 00:07, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

Would you please comment your recent edit?

Hi, Meshach!

You reversed a couple of my edits in Cain and Abel - and of course you have the full right to do so, if this is the way you judge matters. However, I suppose that you saw that they partly were made as response to comments on the talk page. (I assume that you do read edit summaries befor reverting edits for being "unclear additions".) Thus, you are rather welcome to commenting the issues here -either arguing against the need for changes, or suggesting better ones.

I also refered to this. The point made there is that the story should be presented neither as just mythical, nor as a record of historical facts, but simply as biblical. I fully agree with this.

Regards, JoergenB (talk) 21:00, 12 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi JoergenB. When I first read the "According to..." comments I felt that they sounded a bit clunky. But rereading the previous discussion I understand why you were making the changes. I am mostly not in favor of the "mythical" label but the "According to..." is a good neutral way to phrase the text. Feel free to readd it- I will not revert it again. Thanks for discussing the page and for improving the text. meshach (talk) 21:16, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
OK, I'll do so. JoergenB (talk) 21:49, 12 November 2013 (UTC)

The Lottery

Sorry for stepping on your toes on The Lottery. I obviously didn't see your edit. I'm surprised we didn't get an edit conflict, actually. I think you missed that the intro was rewritten to be about generic state lotteries, however. I reverted to a version before that. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 23:08, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

No worries and no harm done. I was mostly just wanting to undo the anon's changes that were about Lotteries instead of the story. But your change accomplished the same thing. Thanks for the note. meshach (talk) 23:17, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

MOTD's Barnstar 2013

The MOTD Barnstar
We at Motto of the Day (MOTD) would like to thank you for your participation and contributions to MOTD during 2013. We hope to see you around at MOTD next year. Happy 2014!!! –pjoef (talkcontribs) 15:38, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

This is about the Liebeck V. McDonald's Case

After watching the HBO documentary Hot Coffee, I learned that Stella Liebeck's grandson drove a 1989 Ford Probe. So please don't take what I edited as an act of vandalism. Thank you. --Andrew S. Huebner (talk) 21:48, 31 March 2014 (UTC) Okay. It did not have a citation so I did not know where the change was coming from so that is why I reverted it. I will leave it now though. Cheers, meshach (talk) 21:54, 31 March 2014 (UTC)

Motto of the Day Help Request April 2014

Today's motto...

If the knowledge is right, use it

Nominate one today!

Motto of the Day (WP:MOTD) is in a state of emergency and really needs your help! There are not enough editors who are reviewing or nominating mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review, and this probably means that you will notice a red link or “This space for rent” as our mottos for the next weeks and months.

Please take a moment to review the nominations and nominate your own new mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review and Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/'Specials. Any help would be appreciated! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 09:13, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

This message has been sent by pjoef on behalf of Motto of the Day to all editors of the English Wikipedia who are showing MOTD's templates on their pages, and to all the participants to MOTD: (page, template, and category).
