Romania[edit]

With respect, the information you provided on your page is sourced but it is sourced WP:Puffery and not very useful when reading about the country's official provided stats. The economic growth rate is already provided and it is good. The rest, particularly about arts, math contributions etc. can be stated about any other large European country and is therefore redundant. Evidently this was based solely on Germany's article and not others as a whole. Also, there is no such phrase as a "fast developing country", only either lesser developed, developing or developed. Please see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section for more info. Thanks. Oliszydlowski (talk) 05:45, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I understand your concern and thank you for the feedback! However, in the final paragraph of the lead, it's OK to highlight the aspects the country is doing well at. See e.g. last lead paragraphs in Uruguay, Croatia, Poland, Thailand. For example, in the article Peru, while the country faces some problems (e.g. crime, inequality), it's positive aspects that are highlighted in the last two lead paragraphs. Moreover, in certain articles, last lead paragraphs focus entirely on 1-2 aspects the country is doing well at, e.g. environmental policies for Costa Rica. So in Romania's case, I personally don't think it's WP:Puffery to highlight in the lead paragraphs key positive aspects the country is doing well, such as fast economic growth, IT sector and the educational system. The term fast-developing refers to economic growth rate, not to absolute level of GDP/GNI. Nevertheless, I agree the paragraph can be condensed further and written in a more objective way. I'd be more than happy to rephrase and converge with you to a format that you also agree on. Let me know what you think! Razvan Valentin Marinescu 14:41, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pitești[edit]

Greetings. Please, create the collage. I look forward to seeing your work. Good luck. — Biruitorul Talk 17:06, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Perfect. How does the below look? And within the article in the Education section, I can replace the photo with I.C. Bratianu High-school (which will now exist in the photo collage) with a photo of the University of Pitesti, which might be more relevant as it's an institution of higher learning.
  • Not bad, but may I suggest one change regarding the Brătianu high school? As there’s no sense in repeating the same photo within the same article, let’s either put a photo of another relevant building in the education section, or replace it in the collage with that of another historic monument. — Biruitorul Talk 06:24, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Copying licensed material requires attribution[edit]

Hi. I see in a recent addition to Corruption in Bulgaria you included material from a webpage that is available under a compatible Creative Commons Licence. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. It's also required under the terms of the license. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this licensing requirement when copying from compatibly-licensed material in the future. — Diannaa (talk) 22:17, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for letting me know, I didn't know! However, I'm not sure which section of the text you refer to. Also, how do you add the CC attribution? Do you add it in the commit description? Razvan Valentin Marinescu 00:20, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You add it in article stace. You can add it like I did here. Or, there's a template at Template:Creative Commons text attribution notice. — Diannaa (talk) 01:20, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Yoshi24517. I noticed that in this edit to Bulgaria, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 20:25, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
