Music[edit]
Hi! I was just wondering if most of [Special:Contributions/James_Epstein these songs] are notable under WP:MUSIC or the like? Some of the articles are just a single sentence, and would probably fit better into the article for their respective albums. What are your thoughts? HawkerTyphoon 03:36, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
They probably aren't notable, but I edited one of them into a form that isn't unreadable. I have no strong opinion about whether they should be kept or not, and if they are eventually deleted, I wouldn't mind too much. --Nanten 02:08, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
Notability of Ian McElroy[edit]
A tag has been placed on Ian McElroy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Reverting vandalism[edit]
You said in your edit to Viking that you were reverting vandalism. In fact that editor made many vandal changes in the same edit, and you only fixed one of them. See Help:Reverting to find out how to revert vandalism correctly. If you stumble upon an article where the first part is vandalism, you can safely assume the rest has been vandalised in some way and try to find a good version to revert to, or the correct edits to undo, as the case may be. Because of your intervening spelling and link fixes (which were good edits on their own), the fact that I was tired from a day at university, the fact that I am blind and use speech to access Wikipedia and therefore couldn't believe that all the changes were made by one vandal, it took me 42 minutes to clean the article up and reintroduce all your changes. FFCompendium text[edit]
Hello,
I noticed that you made an edit to Characters of Final Fantasy Tactics on November 18th, involving the description of Zalbag/Zalbaag. It seems that most of the text for that edit was taken almost word-for-word from my site, FFCompendium.com. I have reverted that part of the edit, and ask that you please do not take descriptions from my site in the future. My site's uniqueness is almost entirely dependent on its text rather than its images and I almost never give permission for that text to be used. I have not had time to look at other changes you have made, but I ask that you please respect my wishes and remove any content that was mainly taken from my site.

Sorry, but I didn't copy any text. I spent several hours that day working on that article, never once consulted your site, and only corrected spelling and fixed style issues in the section on Zalbag. In fact, you've got the wrong person. The information that you removed has been in this article for an extremely long time. This is what the page looked like immediately after being split from the FFT article in July of 2005. In the future, do not accuse me of something I didn't do. My apologies. I had no way of knowing what page it was originally part of; I simply looked at the history of this particular page and looked to see who was responsible for adding the content in question. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve.
