Image copyright problem with File:Stephen Probyn photo by V Tony Hauser.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Stephen Probyn photo by V Tony Hauser.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Is the above article an actual page, or a sandbox page? If its the former it should be renamed, if its the latter it should probably be moved to your userspace, instead of the article space :). Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 12:06, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Excirial! I'm a very inexperienced contributor. I thought this was a subpage of my userpage. I set it up by going to my userpage and inserting a new link. It looks like I forgot the slash. I think it's corrected now. Thanks! - Propagator (Jake)

I've fixed the page. The problem was caused by there being double hard line breaks in the orginal text (actually prior to my edit). I have removed these manually and the article now flows as it should, irrespective of screen size. Happy to help. welsh (talk) 19:19, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Penny Bethke photo 1.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Penny Bethke photo 1.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 07:06, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's corrected now. I had to use two image tags. Thanks. - Propagator (Jake) July 18 2011

Hi Jake,

Wikipedia has a very specific definition of WP:NOTABILITY. I did not intend to imply that the subject isn't important or significant, simply that she may not satisfy Wikipedia's guidelines for notability. I did a Google News search and found a handful of references to Nella Cotrupi, all in reference to her unsuccessful bid for political office. This is insufficient to establish notability per WP:POLITICIAN. She may be notable per WP:ACADEMIC for her work on Northrop Frye, but none of her books or papers have particularly high citation counts according to Google Scholar. What we'd really like to see is an article about the subject in a reliable source. For example, a newspaper or magazine article profiling Nella Cotrupi would definitely demonstrate notability per WP:GNG. Pburka (talk) 16:48, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Penny Bethke photo 1.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Penny Bethke photo 1.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Train2104 (talk • contribs • count) 00:28, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
