Saumya, I just saw your message. MARKS WILL NOT BE DEDUCTED FOR CHANGING WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. HOWEVER THEY WILL BE DEDUCTED FOR MISSING TWO DEADLINES - TOPIC SELECTION & FIRST 500 WORDS. Secondly, you cannot work on your first selection as it is only a stub, and you need to work on an entire article throughout the term. Hence, I suggest you revert back to Mortality Rate, and get on with writing it. - Shirin --Shirin tejani (talk) 15:59, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you go back to your old topics after I ok-ayed the new one, especially after I had told you not to select the old one. Please revert back. MARKS MAY BE DEDUCTED FOR CHANGING YOUR TOPIC WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. YOU HAVE ALREADY MISSED 2 DEADLINES - TOPIC SELECTION & THE FIRST 500 WORDS.

"Mortality Rate" Topic ok. AFTER DEADLINE. - Shirin --Shirin tejani (talk) 14:57, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Topic is too specific. You will need to write more. Please select a broader topic. AFTER DEADLINE. -Shirin --Shirin tejani (talk) 12:12, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Where is your article selection for ESS innovative exam? - Shirin (09 August 2011)

Gentle Reminder - Wikipedia Assignments[edit]

Hi,

Good to know that you have created your userid on wikipedia.

However, would like to remind that you are missing on following deadlines for 3 of your subjects decided by your teachers.

Please reach out to any of your campus ambassadors for any queries you might have.

Regards, Gsinghglakes (talk) 15:13, 24 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

August 2011[edit]

Your addition to Mortality rate has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 18:31, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits to Mortality rate[edit]

You have repeatedly re-inserted copyright violations into the Mortality rate article, despite being warned. While we know that you're new to Wikipedia, and we want to help you, we take copyright very seriously, and we cannot tolerate people violating copyright. Please consider this a warning that if you continue to re-add copyrighted content into that, or any article, I will be forced to suspend your editing privileges. A fluffernutter is a sandwich! September 2011[edit]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without verifying permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted.

Please take this opportunity to be sure you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to use non-free content, as you did at Mortality rate. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. I understand that you're a student in a Wikipedia-oriented course and that you're still learning the ropes, and I do not intend this to be an infinite-time block, but you must stop inserting copyrighted material into articles, and since a warning did not stop you from that, I've had to block you. Please discuss our copyright policy and how you can follow it with your class's ambassador; when you've done that, you and your ambassador should post here to your talk page explaining that the issue has been addressed and I will lift the block. Unblock request[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

i wasn't aware that the source from which i read about mortality rate in india was copyrighted. I ensure that i won't make such a mistake again. i understand the rules on copyright violations.

Decline reason:

Decline for now. We'd like to hear confirmation from the Wikipedia ambassador for your program that he/she feels that you understand the implications of the copyright policy. We also need you to explain that you now understand and will follow policy. either way (talk) 17:15, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I am putting this on hold so that I can talk to Fluffernutter to see if he thinks an unblock is okay at this time. either way (talk) 14:07, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unblocked[edit]

I have unblocked you, per your ambassador's assurance that you now understand and will follow our copyright policy. Please be sure to read our copyright violation policy if you haven't already, and remember that as a general rule, you should not ever copy any text into a Wikipedia article - you must write any text that you put in an article yourself, using your own words. Good luck with the rest of your class! A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk) 11:59, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

It has come to my attention that while blocked you created the account User:Saumya.T and continued editing, in violation of our policy on sockpuppetry. Much more seriously you continued to insert copyright violations using that account. Since you were only unblocked on the assurance that you now understood our copyright policy I have reinstated the block since you obviously don't understand it.
