Ulquiorra's surname[edit]

Hi Spindori, I have a few doubts. Does the Viz Media manga use Cifer or Shiffer when referring to Ulquiorra? Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 17:32, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Technically, neither. In Issue #87 of Shonen Jump (magazine), the March 2010 one, Ulquiorra calls himself "... the Quarto Espada. Ulquiorra Schiffer." Page 097 for further specification. Spindori (talk) 17:56, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
So Viz uses Schiffer. Thanks.Tintor2 (talk) 17:58, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No problem at all. Spindori (talk) 17:59, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion contested: Waqwaq[edit]

Hello Spindori, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of Waqwaq, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Is a plausible, useful redirect or is not a redirect at all. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. mono(how's my driving?) 01:26, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bakuman[edit]

the article isn't too lengthly, and has a well blalance description. it's almost at it's basic form, so no need to add tags for overly detailed or too long. there is also no need for additioanl references and citations, Bakuman doesn't have anything to work on other than expansion considering there is info about an anime on the infobox.Bread Ninja (talk) 20:56, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

not really, the story isn't a chronicle type to just give a brief description of what the basic idea. the way it's going, it's not really "too lengthly" or "overly detailed" i dont know if you've seen other articles, but there are more that are at least 5 times longer than this that trully deserve to be tagged for being too lengthly. as of now the story isn't too detailed or too long. too long would be if they gave every single detail about the story and since i follow the series, this appears to explain the story at it's basic form. A good example of a featured article that is even longer than bakuman is Fullmetal Alchemist.Bread Ninja (talk) 23:40, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Its always good to follow examples of articles that are better than the ones we are working on, especially if they are a GA ranked (one of the highest rank in Wiki next to featured). And no, reading one chapter doesn't mean you know whether it can be summarized even more. that's like saying the movie was short just because you seen the first 10 minutes.Bread Ninja (talk) 22:46, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
From the fist chapter, i suppose it can be summarized but that's where the main plot starts, the rest can definitely be short, but explain different arcs in Bakuman. so given it a little detail should be ok. but i'll see if it can be summarized without the worry of misunderstandings. still it wasn't enough to merit a tag of too detailed or too long.Bread Ninja (talk) 23:02, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Karakuridoji Ultimo[edit]

Have you read the series? The reason why Sayama is referred to by her main name is that the main character calls her "Sayama." Now, if the main character starts calling her "Makoto" and most characters call her "Makoto" then maybe we could start doing that. WhisperToMe (talk) 21:23, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Salut, Spindori!
Usually when describing a fictional character one uses the name most characters refer to him/her as - even when writing in an out of universe style. Most readers are going to know the characters by the names that they are usually referred to as.
For instance in YuYu Hakusho most characters call Kazuma Kuwabara "Kuwabara" so the article should refer to him as such
He has a sister named Shizuru Kuwabara - she's usually called by her first name, so "Kuwabara" usually refers to her brother
And likewise in Yu-Gi-Oh! Seto Kaiba is usually "Kaiba" while his brother Mokuba Kaiba is usually "Mokuba"
If any siblings or relatives of Sayama are revealed, I would imagine they would be referred to by their given names...
