Orphaned non-free media (Image:Umbridge 2509pot2.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Umbridge 2509pot2.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:13, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

warning removed

Snowolf - for your information, I archived a pair of discussion debates to the the archives, and used an edit summary - see the diff. --T-dot ( Talk/contribs ) 22:04, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Please accept my apologies. That is surely a very legitimate edit. Happy editing, Snowolf How can I help? 22:20, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks!

Hi there, I wanted to drop by to thank you (again) for your tremendous help with the copyediting stuff for Reese Witherspoon back in December. The exhausting FAC process is over (phew!) The page is an FA now, and evidently couldn't have been promoted without you kind assistance. :) I am really appreciative of your edits and talk page comments, and I hope we'll work together more in the future. Hope you are doing great! Have a nice weekend, - PeaceNT (talk) 05:55, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Re: Deletion v Archiving

From User talk:Daniel, 02:40, 3 March 2008 (UTC).

The deletion was an act of the Mediation Committee and on behalf of them in my role as Chair. As I am no longer Chair, I must refer all discussion on this to WJBscribe. Sorry about the bouncing about! Cheers, Daniel (talk) 02:40, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Re: Epigraph / Epilogue

OK, I admit, I'm a total ninny! You were so right! (Ummmm = moment of madness?) ...Changing it back now.. Many, many apologies. --seahamlass 20:53, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Degausser (song)

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Degausser (song), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. An invitation to join WikiProject Ohio

Harry Potter articles

I think that with our dialogue at Talk:Dumbledore's Army we are getting out of the point of the discussion. You have provided your opinion regarding Luna's particular merge proposal. The topic you last addressed I think that better fits in the WP HP. I must confess I am a bit confused with what you said about the "pain and anguish" that can last for "weeks or months", as the last mergers and discussions have occured without any problem at all. But I think you would like to make your point in the WikiProject HP. --LoЯd ۞pεth 04:06, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

An exciting opportunity to get involved!

As a member of the Aviation WikiProject or one of its subprojects, you may be interested in testing your skills in the Aviation Contest! I created this contest, not to pit editor against editor, but to promote article improvement and project participation and camraderie. Hopefully you will agree with its usefulness. Sign up here, read up on the rules here, and discuss the contest here. The first round of the contest may not start until September 1st-unless a large number of editors signup and are ready to compete immediately! Since this contest is just beginning, please give feedback here, or let me know what you think on my talkpage. - Trevor MacInnis contribs 05:26, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Service awards proposal

Master Editor Hello, T-dot/Archive 7! I noticed you display a service award, and would like to invite you to join the discussion over a proposed revamping of the awards.

If you have any opinions on the proposal, please participate in the discussion. Thanks! — the Man in Question (in question) 19:50, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Magic in Harry Potter. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Magic in Harry Potter. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:11, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:15, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Cigar Aficionado Magazine Cover - CA-Sep-Oct06 inside.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Cigar Aficionado Magazine Cover - CA-Sep-Oct06 inside.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:19, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
