2023 Pac-12 Championships pictures[edit]

In November 2022, I went to King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington and took pictures of the facility. The same month (November 2022), I uploaded them to Wikimedia Commons and incorporated them into the English Wikipedia article for the facility, Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center. I am planning to go to the facility for the upcoming 2023 Pac-12 Conference Swimming and Diving Championships and try to take picture(s) for a number of Wikipedia biography articles. I am not certain how successful I will be in my picture taking this time around, however, I intend to update the aforementioned articles and this talk page accordingly. Tanis Coralee Leonhardi (talk) 23:33, 18 February 2023 (UTC).[reply]

Logistics: I called ahead to the facility on 6 February 2023 at 12:26 p.m. (Seattle time) and learned attendance was open at a price of $15.00 (USD) a day (single day pass). The purchasing of tickets online/in advance was not mentioned, so I am aiming to try paying cash in-person. In looking up the event online, tickets can be bought in advance (up to day-of). So if something goes wrong for paying in-person, I have a back-up purchasing option and back-up date. Tanis Coralee Leonhardi (talk) 14:41, 19 February 2023 (UTC).[reply]

While I am currently a resident of King County, Washington (have been a full-time resident for over 20 years, non-consecutive), prices/attendance options appear to be the same resident/non-resident. Tanis Coralee Leonhardi (talk) 14:44, 19 February 2023 (UTC).[reply]
I have competition experience at King County Aquatic Center from when I played water polo in high school (2009 and 2010), and when we competed at the facility we were allowed to take pictures. Tanis Coralee Leonhardi (talk) 15:54, 19 February 2023 (UTC).[reply]
School affiliations I have for universities currently in the Pac-12 Conference are: 1) Approximately 3/2 to 2 years of undergraduate education at the University of Washington where I played club intercollegiate rugby briefly (position weakside/blindside flanker - essentially it was my job to attack/tackle the other team's players); and 2) Over 4 years of graduate education at the University of California, Berkeley where I did not compete in sports. Tanis Coralee Leonhardi (talk) 16:00, 19 February 2023 (UTC).[reply]
My dad taught a workshop (workshops) at Stanford University as part of his work as a business strategist at Boeing when I was growing up. Tanis Coralee Leonhardi (talk) 05:17, 23 February 2023 (UTC).[reply]
My tentative plan is to drive down (commute time from my house can be in the range of 45 minutes to 2 hours each direction per my experience) and take pictures during the preliminaries session on the specified dates. Once done taking pictures for each day and back to my computer, I intend to update this user talk page accordingly. My goal is to upload the pictures to Wikimedia Commons within one week of taking them and incorporate them into the corresponding article. I am thinking of adding a gallery to this section of my user talk page (2023 Pac-12 Championships pictures) for the pictures I take and upload to make them easily findable in one location. Tanis Coralee Leonhardi (talk) 23:59, 20 February 2023 (UTC).[reply]
Post-picture taking logistics update, I was able to pay at the entrance both days, however payment was by credit card only and cash was not accepted. There was a $2.60 (USD) service fee for the $15.00 (USD) single day pass each time, so the total price for each single day pass was $17.60 (USD). Tanis Coralee Leonhardi (talk) 02:07, 5 March 2023 (UTC).[reply]
Another update from my attendance, COVID-19 vaccines were not required for entry this year to either of the Championships I attended. Tanis Coralee Leonhardi (talk) 19:55, 7 March 2023 (UTC).[reply]

Gallery[edit]

Pictures I took and have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, putting here in an attempt to make them easy to find.

What on Earth was [1] this, and the outing attempt you made on that user’s userpage? Courcelles (talk) 13:41, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As an asexual I do not appreciate your use of a coerced asexual "outing" here on my user talk page, User:Courcelles.[1] As my sexual orientation was not on my user page nor on my user talk, I am noting your "outing" of me here on my user talk page… if it is true that I was blocked for "outing" in a similar manner, then you should be blocked as well… Whether you respond or not, I appreciate you in your Wikipedia Administrator status clearly communicating that me, Tanis Coralee Leonhardi, and my editing are neither wanted nor welcome on Wikipedia, thank you for your candor. Tanis Coralee Leonhardi (talk) 14:45, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Am noting the attack(s) by User:Courcelles here on my user talk page felt particularly offensive due to their timing (in June, also know as Pride Month by some of us who are not heterosexual).[1] Tanis Coralee Leonhardi (talk) 02:00, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have lingering concerns that Wikipedia Administrators such as User:Courcelles deliberately attack/allow those of us who are not heterosexual to be attacked during Pride Month. Tanis Coralee Leonhardi (talk) 02:06, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I interpret this stance by you, User:Courcelles (and hence Wikipedia as well since you are an administrator), on me, Tanis Coralee Leonhardi, and my editing not being wanted nor welcome on Wikipedia to apply to any and all of my current and/or future children as well… Tanis Coralee Leonhardi (talk) 15:00, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
