Bannered routes of U.S. Route 29[edit]

I have a sandbox for Bannered routes of U.S. Route 29 because I was working on this. You should swipe my information from there onto the article you created, and when you're done I'll have my sandbox deleted. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 15:15, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You didn't have much, which was good because I pretty much already got most of what was listed. I see you already added the one former route in Georgia. I have pulled the information on the two business loops discussed and you should be good to go in deleting it. Thank you. --WashuOtaku (talk) 17:16, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Pretty cool. Once I find out what the story is with the other High Point Alternate, I'd say the sandbox is good to go. I think a lot of these are also multiplexed with other routes, so maybe some info from those can be added to them. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 21:03, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I've officially put the sandbox up for deletion. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 22:31, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Well, Bannered routes of U.S. Route 29 looks very informative now too. Thanks! --WashuOtaku (talk) 23:04, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What?[edit]

Interstate 95 in South Carolina[edit]

The bridges used by Interstate 95 in South Carolina, and the brief entries into counties without any interchanges are not "phantom exits." Just thought this should be something you ought to know. -------User:DanTD (talk) 02:27, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Those weren't the phantom exits I was talking about. There was actually two exits listed for roads that I-95 crosses but has no exits too. As for the bridges and visited counties; the bridges (with exception of Savannah River) are not notable and the counties can be said in other places in the article. --WashuOtaku (talk) 03:10, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't see those exits, and actually the bridges I added are quite noteworthy. I'm not saying we should add bridges for every creek beneath I-95, but the Pee Dee "causeway" segment and the one over the Edisto River stand out enough to be recognized. -------User:DanTD (talk) 04:41, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

May 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Interstate 77 in South Carolina may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 20:47, 18 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I think. --WashuOtaku (talk) 21:10, 18 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for May 21[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Interstate 526, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Ashley River and Cooper River (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

U.S. Route 15-301[edit]

When you undid my edit, you commented, "Article redirects to two separate articles, each represented in NC independently. Please do not re-add as it's not 'special.'" I don't know what you mean by "special." I do know what the word "ambiguous" means, and this title is not ambiguous. Calling it a "disambiguation" page is just wrong. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 20:16, 28 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry Russ, the comment notes can make me sound curt when have only so much to put there. So the establishment of that article predated the two other articles U.S. Route 15 in North Carolina and U.S. Route 501 in North Carolina. And though, yes, it exists only once with a long concurrency through North Carolina, it made it somewhat difficult to discuss the none 15-501 sections of both routes. The other fact that there are several other long concurrencies in the state (i.e. NC 24/NC 27, US 19/US 23, and I-73/I-74) they are not highlighted as special anymore than US 15/US 501 nor warrant an article for them. Last year I tried and failed to get the article deleted, what we have today is a compromise to those (like me) who felt the article should not stand alone for two routes and those who felt 15-501 still significant to exist because of people searching for it. If you want to delete it, I don't mind; but I can't let it go back to some standing article again. Hope that helps. --WashuOtaku (talk) 22:10, 28 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

List of bannered U.S. Routes[edit]

Why did you revert my edit of List of bannered U.S. Routes? Allen (Morriswa) (talk) 04:31, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Those bypasses of US 23 are mainline US 23, they are not special routes unlike the Business routes. --WashuOtaku (talk) 04:36, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
How am I supposed to know whether bypasses are mainline routes, as opposed to "special routes"? I don't want to make any other errors like this in the future. Thanks in advance. Also, where can I get a definitive list of every bannered route that ever existed for every U.S. highway? Allen (Morriswa) (talk) 04:43, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There is no definitive list of every bannered route that ever existed, it's all a hodge-podge put together, not even AASHTO has an updated list on their site. But for the Carolinas, I tend to know or can figure it out if the banner route should be listed or not. Michigan also has their own clerks that seem to always be top of it, which is also why I removed the bypasses from there, they would have listed it for sure. Anyway, if you want to help me in a mystery, check this out: U.S. Route 78 in South Carolina#Blackville business loop, signage on the ground says business but current state and county maps say its a Connector; I could not find any proof if it was ever a business route to start or was a connector the whole time pretending to be a business route. --WashuOtaku (talk) 04:52, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
All of the bannered routes that I have added in the last few days have been from the U.S. Highways From US 1 to (US 830) site. Most of the ones I added prior to that time are from looking at maps.
As for the other route, I don't know what to tell you. I would like to help, but I'm horrible at research. That is why I do these easy simple edits, instead of totally rewriting articles (for the most part; my expanding of Georgia state route articles, notwithstanding (down from over 220 stubs to 66 stubs and wikiwork decreased from over 5.5 to just under 5, since February 1)). Allen (Morriswa) (talk) 05:05, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Is there any really great USRD-approved resources that I can use to determine whether any bannered routes actually existed or not? Thanks. Allen (Morriswa) (talk) 05:50, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, can you comb the page to make sure I didn't do any other mistake edits? Thanks. Allen (Morriswa) (talk) 07:27, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
So any state DOT information, Federal information, newspaper and such is valid reference; the US Highway page is helpful, but not considered a good ref because as you notice not everything listed on there is going to be correct. Researching is a bitch, so I still use unvarified resources that have already gathered information and then try to validate it with old maps, if available. So in South Carolina, I found old county maps at the University of SC website; in North Carolina, I have old state maps from NCDOT themselves and they keep a change log that goes back to the 1960s. At the federal level, AASHTO has keep all the U.S. Route/Interstate approved/disapproved changes here and do have an out-dated catalog here. If you notice, my updates are slow because, yes, research is a bitch... but I hate writing route descriptions because I'm horrible at describing how the route traverses while trying not to be too technical. In the end, I think its way easier to be able to focus energy on one or two states at a time than try to figure out every state's trick on how they do things and try to do all. --WashuOtaku (talk) 11:36, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Well, thanks for giving me some help. If you can find anything else, please let me know. I plan to look at what you sent me later. Allen (Morriswa) (talk) 02:08, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You for the major article update[edit]

Thank you for the major article adding to NC 163. If you have anything else you would like to add I have a stream of articles (few in the Charlotte Area sorry) that could use a little bit of help but it is up to you. --Ncchild (talk) 02:40, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No prob. I'll check'em out when I can. --WashuOtaku (talk) 02:47, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

NC 106[edit]

Whatever. I removed it because the NC 106 entry in Category:State highways in Georgia (U.S. state) is not very helpful. --NE2 22:22, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You are right, probably should have the Georgia stuff on its own page the forwards to the NC page, if we keeping it one because of its uniqueness. --WashuOtaku (talk) 22:44, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Civility[edit]

Please be WP:CIVIL when writing editing summaries. Your summary for this edit, "Then re-write correctly and use the reference given you idiot.", is not appropriately civil and borders on a personal attack. Thank you. - Dravecky (talk) 02:36, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
