Thank you very much!!!!! :) --Your Local Friend! (talk) 13:32, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Solstice Park requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. TheLongTone (talk) 11:52, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion is grossly unfair, plain AfD would have better sufficed. The article is not a hoax to warrant speedy deletion. --Your Local Friend! (talk) 12:06, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
To be fair, it does seem to meet the requirements of A7. There is a bare minimum of information there, and its primary content merely lists the establishments there, whilst the external link is to the land agents. At the moment it doesn't contain any information of any use or notability.
Anyway, I was popping by to say I think that it could be fleshed out - I reckon there must be more than enough information in the online archives of the local papers (particularly the Salisbury Journal) to explain its history, the controversy over the establishment of the site and some of the businesses that have applied to build there, the fate of the site as a result of the economic depression, and the impact of the site on the local area. That at least would turn it into a useful article. As it stands at the moment however, I'm afraid to say that I would probably support its deletion. Ranger Steve Talk 14:33, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
That is interesting if I may say, you are familiar with all of the facts. My outline was purely in stub form as I was also having difficulties in finding sources hence the reason I didn't want to explore all of that. Could you not have contributed slightly to the page while it was breathing? Eventually as you will appreciate, the article will certainly stand, even if the unfavourable elements dominate the page. --Your Local Friend! (talk) 18:31, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No, because I was busy and didn't have the time there and then to sufficiently flesh out an article. I merely dropped by to give you some advice on how to improve it. If you want to create an article that stands the speedy deletion test, may I suggest that you research it and identify sources to establish its notability first and incorporate them from the outset.
