Vivek Nagar is one of the newer townships of Kolar Gold Fields, in India. It is an extension of the much older town of Robertsonpet. It has produced many doctors and engineers who are working all over India and abroad. S.Manjunath who was killed in Lucknow was from 3rd Cross Road, Vivek Nagar. Vivek Nagar is named after Swami Vivekananda. There is a temple dedicated to Ayappa.
