User:Dr. Shahid Alam

I have been here in Wikipedia from a very long Time. I am a daily editor and have donde a lot of edits and reviews on wikipedia which can be seen on my userpage. I want to participate more and more every day and be a part of this great team. (Dr. Shahid Alam)(Talk to Me) 19:41, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

    • What would you like to do with reviewer? --Guerillero | My Talk 20:24, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
      •  Not done In light of the lack of response, and the time that has passed, I'm marking this request as not done. Please feel free to submit a new request and make sure to explain how you would use the reviewer right. Monty845 18:55, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am an editor who is specialized on the topic of the 1920-1948 period in Mandatory Palestine. I am the main contributor of 5 FA articles about this topic on the French wikipedia (see : fr:user:ceedjee, 2 of which were translated in English : Battles of Latrun ; 1947–1948 Civil War in Mandatory Palestine). The article 1948 Arab-Israeli War which is an important one in my field of interest has just been protected due to persistent vandalism by a sockpuppet [1]. I'd like to go on editing this and can review edits on it as well.Pluto2012 (talk) 18:25, 11 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It seems you hesitate or don't want to give this permission to me. May I know what is the issue so that we can clarify this ? Pluto2012 (talk) 19:22, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

 Done I responded on your user talk page. James086Talk 23:15, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. Pluto2012 (talk) 10:27, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have been on Wikipedia for almost 2 years now. I already have the rolback user-right and reguarly revert vandalism using rollback and Huggle. I also take part on new page inspections. I do have one block - however this was issued when I first joined and I have since read the policies regarding this and I am an improved editor. Oddbodz (talk) 00:43, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, forgot to include what I'd like to do with reviewer. I would like to monitor recent changes, allowing genuine edits to improve the articles while helping to reduce unhelpful edits by vandals. Oddbodz (talk) 13:29, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am prompted to ask for permission for this right because I see breast cancer has a good edit that needs accepting. I'm active with WikiProject Medicine, I brought DVT up to GA status, and I am an Online Ambassador and Campus Ambassador. Biosthmors (talk) 18:55, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've been editing for over 3 years, and have a good handle on basic policy and what is/not vandalism. I mostly edit heavy metal and related articles, at least one of which is set to have pending reviews (Grindcore), so I'd like to be able to review edits for that article (and others as time goes on). I'm writing to request the Reviewer right after having encountered a PC-protected article while patrolling new pages. I've read WP:RG and I meet all the criteria listed in Wikipedia:RG#Becoming a reviewer. My interests take me all over the wiki, and I'd like to be able to review pending changes as I encounter them in the course of copy editing, new page patrolling, watchlist watching, and general editing. As the number of PC-protected articles grows, I want to do my part to reduce the (future) backlog of pending changes. Braincricket (talk) 06:27, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
