I am an editor who is specialized on the topic of the 1920-1948 period in Mandatory Palestine. I am the main contributor of 5 FA articles about this topic on the French wikipedia (see : fr:user:ceedjee, 2 of which were translated in English : Battles of Latrun ; 1947–1948 Civil War in Mandatory Palestine). The article 1948 Arab-Israeli War which is an important one in my field of interest has just been protected due to persistent vandalism by a sockpuppet [1]. I have been on Wikipedia for almost 2 years now. I already have the rolback user-right and reguarly revert vandalism using rollback and Huggle. I also take part on new page inspections. I mostly edit heavy metal and related articles, at least one of which is set to have pending reviews (Grindcore), so I'd like to be able to review edits for that article (and others as time goes on). I'm writing to request the Reviewer right after having encountered a PC-protected article while patrolling new pages. I've read WP:RG and I meet all the criteria listed in Wikipedia:RG#Becoming a reviewer. My interests take me all over the wiki, and I'd like to be able to review pending changes as I encounter them in the course of copy editing, new page patrolling, watchlist watching, and general editing.
