On 27 March, Tottenham annouced their first pre-season friendly, against six-time European champions Bayern Munich as part of the "Visit Malta Cup".[3] A first trip to Japan for 33 years was later confirmed, with a friendly against Vissel Kobe.[4] In May, Spurs confirmed they would also travel to South Korea as part of its pre-season tour of Asia, to compete in the Coupang Play Series 2024 against Bayern Munich.[5]
