Yessss! You made an account! Totally sweet! Anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people. Besides that, you shouldn't feel nervous or anything about a good-willed contribution. If you're concerned, talk to us. Play in your user area. For example, create User:Statmo1921/test. If you feel nervous, feel free to talk to us. When you're ready, start your first article using the Article Wizard. You don't HAVE to use it, but for your first article it really helps. Capitalize "It"

Are You That Somebody?

You are continously changing the recording dates of numerous singles and albums from Aaliyah to Janet Jackson, and other artists simply based on calendar years in which they were released, without providing any proof or reason for doing so. I mean this by you editing a song released in June 1998 for a soundtrack as being recorded in 1997, when it wasn't and was only recorded a 1-2 months prior to its release by proof from the artist. You are also undoing recording information in infoboxes on albums recordation periods in removing the inclusion of the month and year the album or single was recorded(ex. Recorded: August 1995 - July 1996; your changes: Recorded: 1995-1996). Please provide sources or explanation for removing such info next time. Carmaker1 (talk) 07:09, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

State of the World and Rhythm Nation-Recording Dates

I notice you keep on reverting the recording date of the 1991 single, State of The World by Janet Jackson to 1990, which isn't possible as it was recorded and released in 1989 on the album and only remixed for the single release. Basing a recording year for an album or single on the year before it's calendar year of release isn't logical. Also, Rhythm Nation was recorded upon Janet returning to Minneapolis in January 1989 to heavily work on Rhythm Nation 1814 and not 1988. There is no reason to change it to that. A song released this year could have been recorded in 2006 or 2007 and not 2008-09.Carmaker1 (talk) 06:32, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

Your Poor Changes

Since you keep making such changes, it looks like you don't get it and I will have to explain every single detail. I will say first and foremost, that your changes to the February 1986 studio album Control by Janet Jackson were FALSE as she certainly did NOT record a SINGLE song on Control in 1986. She solely recorded it for 6 weeks from August 1985 to OCTOBER 1985, releasing What Have You Done For Me Lately in January 1986 and the full-length album in February. Her first album, Janet Jackson, and its singles were recorded from May to August 1982 when she was 16, not in 1981 like you KEEP putting. Her sophomore album, Dream Street was recorded solely in 1984 and was released in October 1984. Rhythm Nation 1814 began production in September 1988, BUT studio recording began in January 1989 and continued through May. Her janet. studio album was recorded mostly in the fall of 1992 and wrapped in Winter 1993. Despite most of the singles being released in 1994, most of them except the first and last single are 1992 recordings. Her Velvet Rope album began writing in August 1996 and began recording for 6 months from January to July 1997. Production on All For You was from March 2000 to February 2001, as Doesn't Really Matter was recorded in February and March of 2000. Production on Damita Jo was from May 2003 to February 2004 and recording on 20 Y.O. was from May 2005 to 2006.

Also for Aaliyah ALL the singles and tracks on debut album were recorded during late April 1993 to January 1994. THIS INCLUDES SINGLES RELEASED IN 1995. Her sophomore album was recorded from August 1995 to July 1996. The first 2 singles were recorded during the winter season of 1995-1996, the rest were in 1996 and 1997. The soundtrack contributions from 1997 and 1998 were recorded in the SAME CALENDAR YEAR they were RELEASED. Her contributions to Romeo Must Die OST are all 1999 recordings. Her last studio album from 2001 was recorded from October 2000 in Australia to March 9, 2001 in the US. Now that you've heard this, I hope your edits that drastically change things improve.

All this applies to all the artists whose releases you keep on changing the recording dates on. Whitney Houston, Aaliyah, Janet, Brandy, and etc. So I suggest you leave them as they are and DON'T change them, because compared to you I researched information I added. It is frustrating to be continuously correcting/undoing those sections you inaccurately "fix". You seem like a nice person trying to do good faith edits, but I will soon report you to administrators if you continue to make useless changes and they will likely block you from editing.Carmaker1 (talk) 10:11, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
