Changing date of Spirit's mission duration to align with last communication date. Is it preferred to use the dates of NASA's official mission conclusion, or the date of last communication? Last communication would be March 22, 2010 (Spirit) and June 10, 2018 (Opportunity). NASA's "mission complete" announcement would be May 24, 2011 (Spirit) and Jan 13 2019 (Opportunity). I believe last communication date is more relevant to the topic. undo
