Stoker's Drac explicitly indentifies with the Székelys, a Hungarian subgroup, and CV's Drac is based directly on Stoker's. There is no similar in-universe explanation for Simon from Konami. Also, the ethnic & cultural diversity of 17th century Transylvania meant not all inhabitants identified just as Hungarian. It was inhabited by Romanians, Hungarians, Saxons, Székelys & others. Identity was more complex than a binary distinction between "Hungarian" and "non-Hungarian." undo Tag: Undo
