"The PNS is divided into three separate subsystems, the somatic, autonomic, and enteric nervous systems." The autonomic nervous system contains the enteric nervous system, so they cannot be called separate subsystems. The PNS Wikipedia page is consistent with this as well. Would anyone take issue with it being changed to "The PNS is divided into two separate subsystems, the somatic and autonomic nervous systems."? Nervous systems- requested edit
Can someone smarter than me add at the beginning of the article: "This article is about the nervous systems of tetrapods. For the nervous systems of other animals, see Evolution of nervous systems." I keep trying, but I screw up the formatting. Thanks! Edgar Vekilnik, Jr. (talk) 16:03, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hello Edgar - the article is about the nervous system in general. Paragraph 4 of the lead and a whole section "Comparative anatomy and evolution" addresses other organisms. Iztwoz (talk) 16:18, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
