Nova 106.9 is a commercial radio station operating in Brisbane, Australia, owned by the DMG Radio Network. DMG Radio purchased the Brisbane FM licence for $80 million in April 2004 to complete their national network of Nova stations. Nova 106.9's studios are located at 130 Commercial Road in Teneriffe.
Breakfast show
The breakfast show of Nova 106.9, Meshel, Ash and Kip with Luttsy, is the flagship program of the network to capture an audience for the rest of the day. The show runs from 6:00am to 9:00am weekday mornings. The crew consists of:
Meshel Laurie
Born in Toowoomba (Known as T-Bar), Meshel Laurie previously worked as a receptionist in a brothel. She has regularly appeared on Rove Live, and the ABC TV's Spicks and Specks and now-defunct The Glass House. A stand-up comedian, Laurie also MCs at Brisbane's Dockside Comedy Bar. She is expected to return to her semi-regular spot on Rove, which has recently just started on Sunday April 1st.
Ash Bradnam
Ashley Bradnam grew up in South East Queensland. He has an identical twin brother, Luke, who also works in breakfast radio at Hot Tomato on the Gold Coast. Bradnam regularly talks about his two infant sons Levi and Sidney. He hosted the ABC TV programme Head 2 Head. Bradnam is presently sporting a perm, the result of losing badly to Kip in the poker-brains-out competition.
Kip Wightman
Chris 'Kip' Wightman grew up in Brisbane and has a dog named Bronco, after his favourite team the Brisbane Broncos. Wightman's main task is as the host of the breakfast show, and allegedly provides the voice of regular on-air character "Antonio The Love Doctor". He previously worked at Nova 96.9 in Sydney and transferred to Nova 106.9 in Brisbane in 2005 for the start of official transmission.
David Lutteral
David 'Luttsy' Lutteral is single, lives at home with his Mum in Boondall, and is the sports reporter during the Nova 106.9 breakfast show. Luttsy is 30 and, as what the Japanese would term, a parasite single. His report is done with the theme to the A-Team playing the background. Luttsy was also the 'ground reporter' for the 2005/2006 Ashes series, working evey city where games were played.

10-15 minutes of unique audio that is not heard on the radio with explicit content that is recorded straight after the regular breakfast show finishes and uploaded onto the Internet at around 10am each day.
On-air personalities
- Whippy (Brendan Dangar) – Weekday mornings, 9:00am - 12:00pm. Formerly of B105, Whippy was Nova 106.9's first on-air signing more than a year before the station began official transmission. On 24 October 2006 the Breakfast Show had tired of Brendan's on-air moniker and called for naming suggestions from their listeners. New alternatives were considered including "Danny 'Double D' Danger", "Dangerlicious" and "Gronk", but the name "DJ B Danger" was the first choice and is currently being used by the Breakfast Show. Q Confidential mentioned in its Friday (March 23, 2007) edition that Whippy is being considered to replace Derryn Hinch on 3AW.
- Emily Jade (Emily Jade O'Keefe) – Weekday afternoons, 12-3pm. Formerly of Hot Tomato on the Gold Coast, a one-time host of Channel Nine's "Download".
- Dan & Ken – Evening drive time, 3-6pm. Dan and Ken previously fronted "The Benchwarmers" on Macquarie Regional RadioWorks. They left at the end of 2006 to host Nova Nights in Brisbane, then shifted to drive after the departure of Jamie Row to Nova 96.9 Sydney.
- Nova 19s with Michelle and Smallzy – Nights, 7-10pm. Michelle Anderson, formerly of Nova 100 Melbourne; Kent Small, formerly of Star 104.5 Gosford.
- Bossy (Brendon Boss) – Late-nights, 10:00pm - 1:00am and Weekends. Formerly of Gold Coast's Hot Tomato.
- Bevan – Work experience DJ, an Enigma of the onair team, Bevan started as the first DJ onair at nova and has since been filling in gaps whenever needed.

Trivia
- Nova 106.9, based at Teneriffe, is a stones-throw from the Brisbane River; Nova 96.9 is a stones-throw from Sydney Harbour.
- The Nova traffic theme was a repetitive melody from Regurgitator's ! (The Song Formally Known As). Now they use the instrumental of "Jacques Your Body" by Les Rythmes Digitales (as featured in the Citroen ads in 2005).
- Since appearing on Rove Live for much of 2006, breakfast announcer Meshel Laurie was rumoured to be heading up a new breakfast show for Nova 96.9, replacing Merrick and Rosso. However those rumours have been quashed and Laurie will be remaining with Nova 106.9.
- Nova 106.9 took over rival B105's sponsorship of the Brisbane Broncos in late 2006, and Nova's logo replaced B105's on the Broncos training gear.
- In 2006, Ash Bradnam and Peter Dick from 4BC took part in the "Bradnam and Dick Lock Nuts" challenge after Dick made false derogatory comments about Bradnam on their competition breakfast show relating to his tyre-changing abilities. The challenge took place at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane and was won by Peter Dick following foul play, which was evident in the Nova video podcast of the event. Listeners could wager money on the outcome of the challenge through both stations, all of which was donated to the charity Wildlife Warriors, started by Steve Irwin.
- Former breakfast newsreader and most recently drive newsreader, Lisa Herbert, was poached by Channel 7's Sunrise to become Entertainment Producer.
