Kearny High School is located at 7651 Wellington Way in San Diego, California. It is part of the San Diego Unified School District. Kearny's mascot is the Komet.
Kearny High School contains four unique schools, with four different principals. They are:
- The School of Science, Connections, and Technology (SCT)
- The School of Digital Media and Design (DMD)
- The Stanley E. Foster Construction Tech Academy (CTA)
- The School of International Business (SIB)
Exclusive to Kearny High, students that display academic excellence are able to take Mesa Fast Track their junior and senior years. This program allows students to enroll in college courses for both high school and college credit, and further enables the students to succeed post high school.

Athletics
Kearny offers all of the major sports, such as football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, soccer, cross country and track and field. They participate in California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) sports and their athletic teams play in the Western and Central leagues. The current Athletic Director is Patty Peisner.
