"My Only Wish"
Song

"My Only Wish (This Year)" is a song written and produced by Brian Kierulf it is also written by Josh Schwartz recorded by American singer Britney Spears. It was released as the first Christmas single by Spears in December 2000 (see 2000 in music). The song has reached the top ten in several countries, and it is one of the most commercially successful Christmas singles of the modern era.

According to Entertainment Weekly, it is "one of the best holiday songs, and one of the best of 2000[1] Despite the success and acclaim it has achieved in a relatively short time period, it is an original song just as Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas Is You[2] Despite on no promoting this song Spears has one of he greatest christmas songs, the fact is that this will always be the original track. in 2007 Chris Brown wanted to record the song for the film This Christmas, but the producers and Spears herself didn't give any permision this is not the first time that this happens many other singers wanted to record the song such as Jessica Simpson and Kelly Clarkson. By late 2006, it had become the second best-selling holiday ring tone of all time in the U.S. [3] In the end of 2007 the song has huge popularity worldwide in the iTunes store and radio airplay. The song can be found in many Christmas CDs such as Ultimate Christmas 2.
