Since 2005, I have made significant contributions to hundreds of articles about [[Slovakia]] and I was happy to see some of them on Wikipedia's main page, either as "Did You Know" or featured articles. In April 2008, I almost left Wikipedia altogether. The main reason is that the community failed to prevent [[User:Nmate]] from editing in a disruptive way and from attacking other editors and nations. I do not have time to write new articles (the activity I have enjoyed the most here) if I have to revert Nmate's "uncivilized nomad Slav colonists" to the previous version "Slovak inhabitants" three times a day. Communication did not work because it is hard to deliberate with a person, who for some unknown reason believes that the "whole Slovak history" is so short that it "can be sent as a text message". I got also disappointed by the fact that no administrator has been able or willing to prevent [[User:Rembaoud]] from [[Magyarization|hungarizing]] English geographic names despite the existing [[WP:NCGN|rules]]. I do not intend to waste my time communicating with evidently disruptive users or posting on those fancy yet useless administrators' noticeboards. So, please do not ask me to do it on my talk page or anywhere else. I am not interested.

Here is the list of the articles with my significant contribution. The articles that I created are in bold. Minor or less significant edits (many of them resulting from my persistent effort to add infoboxes with relevant information to all Slovakia's towns), redirects, and reverts of vandalism are not included. Many of my minor edits have also resulted from the maintenance of the categories International Relations, Castles, and Slovakia (including their numerous and often messy sub-categories).

Since 2005, I have made significant contributions to hundreds of articles about Slovakia and I was happy to see some of them on Wikipedia's main page, either as "Did You Know" or featured articles. In April 2008, I almost left Wikipedia altogether. The main reason is that the community failed to prevent User:Nmate from editing in a disruptive way and from attacking other editors and nations. I do not have time to write new articles (the activity I have enjoyed the most here) if I have to revert Nmate's "uncivilized nomad Slav colonists" to the previous version "Slovak inhabitants" three times a day.
