Untitled

Comatose is the seventh full-length album released by the Christian rock band Skillet. Released October 3, 2006[1], this album continues Collide's trend of downplaying keyboard elements that were so prominent in previous releases by favoring distorted guitars and modern hard rock anthems, with the distinct exception of "Looking For Angels". Comatose has sold over 300,000 units as of January 8, 2008.[2]

Comatose received a Grammy Award nomination on December 6, 2007 for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album. A deluxe edition of Comatose was then released in stores on December 26, 2007 and a live DVD of their headlining tour in support of Comatose was released in Fall 2008. Their next album has a planned release date of Spring 2009.

"The Older I Get" was released to the mainstream and Christian Rock/CHR radio markets hitting #1 on both Christian Rock/CHR markets while "Comatose" reached #1 on Christian Rock Markets. It was the 19th most-played song of 2008 on U.S. Contemporary Christian music radio stations according to R&R magazine's Christian CHR chart.[4] While it has not been announced as an official single, "Looking For Angels" was given a video the same as "Rebirthing", "Whispers", and "The Older I Get".
