Windows Longhorn is the name of a canceled operating system preceding Windows Vista.[1] It would have been released in October 2003. It was canceled because Microsoft decided it was too hardware-intensive and thought it would not sell.

Longhorn's mix

Windows Longhorn had a type of Vista and XP mix. It had toolbars and gadgets like Vista, backgrounds like XP, Windows like Vista, Shutdown/Startup screens like XP etc.
