Manmadhan Ambu (English: Cupid's Arrow) is a forthcoming Tamil romantic comedy film directed by K. S. Ravikumar[1] which will star Kamal Haasan, R. Madhavan and Trisha Krishnan[2] in the lead roles. The film was previously titled as Karunyam and Yaavarum Kelir. It is currently in its filming stage and expected to release by the end of 2010.

Cast

Production

After the success of Unnaipol Oruvan, Kamal Haasan opted against reviving his home production Marmayogi, and signed on for a film produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin. Whilst the film went through months of pre-production, Trisha Krishnan and then R. Madhavan were added to the project directed by K. S. Ravikumar. Following much speculation about the title of the film, with early indications suggesting the film would be titled Yaavarum Kaelir or Karunyam, the launch ceremony of the film, held on June 3, 2010 confirmed a new title called Manmadhan Ambu. In the launching ceremony, K.S Ravikumar informed that story of the film will be kept secret and only 3 person had the access to the screenplay, that is himself as the director, Kamal as the screenwriter and Crazy Mohan the dialogue writer. He also added that special make-up will be applied to Kamal to recreate his famous 80's look in the film. Trisha's mother Uma Krishnan will be making guest appearance in the film requested by the director.

According to the sources, Sangeetha is paired opposite to Kamal Haasan, the pair have two kids in the movie while Trisha Krishnan is paired opposite R. Madhavan. It is touted to be on the lines of Kamal Haasan's flick Sathi Leelavathi.

Soundtrack

Music is scored by Devi Sri Prasad, after initially Shruti Hassan and later Thaman were reported to be the music composer. It has been reported that Kamal Haasan and Trisha will be lending their voices for a specially arranged song.[3]
