Manmadhan Ambu (Tamil: மன்மதன் அம்பு; English: Cupid's Arrow) is a forthcoming Tamil romantic comedy film directed by K. S. Ravikumar.[1] It will star Kamal Haasan, R. Madhavan, and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles,[2] whilst featuring Ramesh Arvind, Sangeetha, Manju Pillai and Oviya among others in supporting roles. It is currently undergoing post-production work and expected to be released in December.[3]

Cast

Production

After the success of Unnaipol Oruvan, Kamal Haasan opted against reviving his home production Marmayogi, and signed on for a film produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin. Whilst the film went through months of pre-production, Trisha Krishnan, in Decemeber 2009,[5] and then R. Madhavan, in February 2010, were added to the project,[6] with K. S. Ravikumar being chosen as the director. Following much speculation about the title of the film, with early indications suggesting the film would be titled Yaavarum Kaelir [7] or Karunyam,[8] the launch ceremony of the film, held on June 3, 2010 confirmed a new title called Manmadhan Ambu.[9] During the launch, Kamal Haasan told that prior to the shoot rehearsals were performed.[10]

Soundtrack

Music is scored by Devi Sri Prasad, after initially Shruti Hassan [11] and later Thaman were reported to be the music composer.[12] It has been reported that Kamal Haasan and Trisha will be lending their voices for a specially arranged. The soundtrack will be released on 20 November 2010 at Singapore.[13]
