Deletion of Short Bus TV

Why was Short Bus TV's entry deleted? I guess the largest independent performing arts philanthropic endeavor in North Carolina isn't notable in any form? AmericasComedy.com wrote an article about it, but I guess that doesn't count for anything. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.172.71.190 (talk) 02:04, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article was deleted because it did not establish why the show is notable enough for inclusion. There was no mention of any independent reviews of the show in the article when it was deleted, only self-references and press releases. You are welcome to create an account and then recreate the article with the necessary references. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 02:48, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Peter Hennessy (with a comma)

Thanks for your prompt action deleting the implausible "Peter Hennessy," redirect. Actually I just popped in to say that but - while I'm here - gosh, doesn't your Talk page ever get you depressed? So many complaints and hardly anyone discussing spelling, flowers, the history and music of the Baroque trumpet (before 1721), peanut butter or whatever. I do hope you enjoy this branch of Wikipedia work: it certainly needs doing, and I'm very grateful for your dedication in doing it, but it certainly wouldn't suit me! Good luck, and thanks again; all good wishes DBaK (talk) 22:51, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Gogo! -just wondering if there's an additional protection in the works for this, or are you willing to see how things play out? Kaini (talk) 22:14, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Warren Lemmon article

I have been looking for more information on Warren Lemmon (born 1986) and was hoping that you could bring the article back up. I have a citation that should work: http://www.lrec-conf.org/proceedings/lrec2010/pdf/360_Paper.pdf

I am willing to do more research to bring the article more up to date.

Goldgenie

Hi there,

I am writing an article on Goldgenie (a UK-based company). I noticed that it had been deleted previously for G11. I propose submitting the following. Could you have a look and let me know whether this passes G11. I have been 100 per cent objective. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tompey (talkcontribs)

Hi there Gogo Dodo,

That's fantastically helpful. Thank you very much. I shall rework the article, and post with your comments in mind.

Apologies for posting the article on your talk page. I shall remember that in future.

Many thanks again,

Hi there,

I have a reworked article that I would be extremely grateful if you could have a look at. (Awful grammar, I know, apologies :)

I believe it fulfils all criteria: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Tompey

Many thanks again for your kind help. I'm genuinely grateful to all you guys.

Cheers,

Hi there again,

I have recieved feedback from a wikipedian, and would like to post the article Goldgenie. Would it be possible to free up the page? I believe there was a commercial company trying to advertise. Indeed, as far as I can tell it was for a completely different company in Asia.

Obvioulsy, please feel free to make any adjustments, or comment on the article at my user space: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Tompey.

I have a pet project to catalogue UK business and learn more about wiki, so I am very grateful for any help and contributions.

Many thanks,

Blake1960 Making Disruptive Edits

Hello,

I've noticed that you are quite good in dealing with new editors making inappropriate and disruptive edits. I thought you might be able to help me in working with Blake1960 to show him the error of his ways. The claims he is making on Chevrolet Volt and Miles per gallon gasoline equivalent are entirely incorrect, but he appears to be adamant in reinserting them any time they are edited out. If you could provide some input into the situation, I promise I will try to "watch and learn." Thanks. Ebikeguy (talk) 06:49, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

HELP SOUGHT: deletion of aarjart, yet large multinationals are allowed own pages?

Hi im new to Wikipedia,

I have often been brought to Wikipedia when searching about information about companies and whether they are legit or not. For example AMD http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amd, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazon.com http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ebay

How come it is deemed that large Multi billion $ companies are allowed to have a page on Wikipedia, yet small companies are not allowed a prescence? Do these large companies pay a fee to be on wikipedia?

Would i be allowed to post an entry without any links at all? How can i be able to create a page like AMD, ebay and alike without it being deleted.

Many thanks for your time

Genuine Ken

Hello,

I have read the "common reasons why I have deleted your article" and I am still confused as to why the article I was working on "Genuine Ken" was deleted. It is a real show that I have no affiliation with. My friends discovered it a few days ago and wanted to make the Wikipedia page for it. As this is the first time we created a page, we tried to make it as accurate and unbiased as possible and are very upset that our contribution was deleted after all our hard work.

Please check out Genuine Ken because it is a great show. http://genuineken.com/

PS our user name is a play on the show and our fish is named Oscar. There is no Oscar on the show !

Advice on possible new BLP

Hello! I'm trying to write a BLP of author Fern Reiss (my draft is currently located here: User:WikiTome/Fern Reiss). This being one of my first BLPs and not being completely clear on all the rules, I was wondering if you might check it out and give me some feedback on what I should improve before it would be accepted. I'm worried it might sound a bit too promotional. I know you're probably pretty busy, so feel free to do this at your leisure, or not at all.

Thanks so much! WikiTome Talk 17:12, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Samochvety

Could you please restore article text (if there was something constructive) on a subpage of a Sandbox. I think this band more than just meet WP:Band. They had a Kremlin concerts for example. Unfortunatelly I could find only one source link. The band-leader for his work there in 2007 was awarded with honorary title: People's Artist of Russia (link (in russian)).

Sorry for my English and thanks in advance. 46.0.30.203 (talk) 15:02, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. The article title (I think) was misspelled. It should be Samotzvety.

The content was constructive, but very minimal, so is not likely to help you in creating the article. It had the band's name (spelled differently than the article name as "Samocvety"), that the band is Russian, that they play VIA, and that the band was started by Yuriy Malikov, who is related to Dmitriy Malikov (misspelled his name, too). That's it. No discography, no band start date, etc. So I think you are better off creating the article from scratch once you create an account or request that the article be created. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 16:55, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I'll try to recreate it with more reliable content. 188.120.245.248 (talk) 05:38, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

List cleanup

Just noticed your good work cleaning up a list of persons, as I've spend some time of late doing precisely the same.

PREF1X and Pref1x Project Articles

You deleted both the articles "PREF1X" and "Pref1x Project." I was hoping you could restore those. We are a otable musician that has had success with touring and I'm not done writing the article but I had a half hour conversation with Eminem's record label yesterday. There's been quite a bit of vandalism in the past few minutes. Are we seeing puppets? Wikipelli Talk 19:22, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yup. Likely a bunch of bored classmates. One started it a few days ago and her friends probably noticed or were told what she could do and they all decided to pile in. I semi-protected the article so that should put a stop to it. All of the "-nig" account names make you wonder. An SPI report might be useful. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 19:31, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A Receipt For A Recipe

I can't figure out how exactly to make this edit myself because I can't find the list. In List of Case Closed episodes, Episode 186 183's English Title says "A Dangerous Recipe." Reshipi actually means receipt not Recipe, so the English is wrong. -WarthogDemon 07:22, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
