Hate Story 2 is a 2014 Bollywood thriller film directed by Vishal Pandya.[1][2] Produced by T-Series Films, it stars Sushant Singh, Surveen Chawla and Jay Bhanushali in pivotal roles.[3][4][5][6] It is the sequel to the 2012 sleeper hit Hate Story starring Nikhil Dwivedi, Gulshan Devaiya and Paoli Dam.[7][8][9] The film released on 18 July 2014 along with Amit Sahni Ki List[10] and Pizza 3D.[11][12]

Production
Both lead actors learnt scuba diving for the film.[13] Jasmin Oza and Pritika Agarwal did choreography for Hate Story 2.[14] The trailer crossed 7 million views within 10 days of its release.[15][16][17][18][19] Actress Sunny Leone was approached to perform an item song Pink Lips, composed by Meet Bros Anjjan and sung by Khushbu Grewal.[20]
Censoring of scenes
The Indian censor boards have objected to the sex scenes airing as part of the trailer and music video on TV channels, therefore the producers of the film have edited certain portions.[21][22] Comedian Kapil Sharma refused to promote the film on grounds of bold content[clarification needed] in the film. [23][24]
Soundtrack
One song from Madhuri Dixit-Vinod Khanna starrer 1988 film Dayavan Aaj Tum Pe was re-created in the film.[25] Sunny Leone will be performing a sensuous item song, Pink Lips, which is a promotional track for the film.[26]
