Disambiguation link notification for March 30

This terrorist fanboy is a vandal! It is changing words "terrorist" to "militant" erasing "USA designated list for terrorists". It erased kurdish attacks on civilians and sweden etc... I hope isis captures him :)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Reşvan (Kurdish tribe), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Justice and Development Party and Kulu (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

feylis

I have written a post about this on the talk-page of the feyli. long has my post not been answered, therefore, it seems reasonable to make the switch, it's also relevant references that support that statement.--Didaku (talk) 15:26, 11 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hasakah

We cant use in this situation pro opposition source deSyracuse. And also pro Kurdish sources confirmed that those villages under control by Syrian troops not the under jointly control.here Hanibal911 (talk) 17:37, 24 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Size of Turkey map

I notice that your Turkey map currently has just under 3000 points right now. My estimate is that you'll hit the parser's limit again somewhere around 5000 points. Do you have an idea of how many more points you expect to be adding, so I can start looking for another solution now if necessary? Jackmcbarn (talk) 15:08, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Jackmcbarn: Oh I see. Looking at the areas I haven't done yet, I would say about 2500-3000 points more is needed. --Ahmetyal (talk) 15:34, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I just added a new size optimization. I now project that you won't hit any limits until 6500 points. By the way, why do you bother to set labels on marks if you just set their label_size to 0? Jackmcbarn (talk) 20:22, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thanks! With the labels, it will take a long time to remove them one by one, and the search/replace action is not available with a module. But you are right, I could stop adding them from now on. --Ahmetyal (talk) 20:39, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, you meant the labels themselves and not the label_size. Skipping the labels would definitely make my work faster. --Ahmetyal (talk) 20:47, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Jackmcbarn: Does it overload the page/system? I'm not against skipping labels and label-sizes from now on. --Ahmetyal (talk) 20:48, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
They're not overloading the system. I'm just curious what the point is, since they do contribute to the page size, and they don't seem to be doing anything. Jackmcbarn (talk) 20:58, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
With labels it would be much easier to find the villages when needed. For example when the next election results come out and some marks need to be updated. --Ahmetyal (talk) 21:07, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I've switched the labels to use position=none instead of label_size=0. Now they're still available when editing, but they won't render anything into the map itself. Jackmcbarn (talk) 21:17, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit on the Iraqi map

On the Iraqi Map, you used this source to add a bunch of towns and say ISIS controls them.

http://www.akb.bzh/spip.php?article889&lang=fr

You used a map. The creator of this Iraqi insurgency map states this is against the rules on the Syria map, where vandalism has occurred using amateur, unreliable sources.

This person says: "Copying from maps is strictly prohibited."

The source you used

http://www.akb.bzh/spip.php?article889&lang=fr

is not a valid, trustworthy and reliable source, because it is an amateur map, from OpenStreetMap! Anyone can create that! There is no reliable evidence that ISIS holds these villages. It makes no sense! Even though the map you cited appears to be Kurdish, it is still unreliable, as it is an amateur map. Please revert your edits. Request for mediation rejected

The request for formal mediation concerning Cities and towns in the war in Iraq and the Levant, to which you were listed as a party, has been declined. To read an explanation by the Mediation Committee for the rejection of this request, see the mediation request page, which will be deleted by an administrator after a reasonable time. Please direct questions relating to this request to the Chairman of the Committee, or to the mailing list. For more information on forms of dispute resolution, other than formal mediation, that are available, see Wikipedia:Dispute resolution.

Not Sure about East Hasakah

I'm not sure that YPG did liberate those areas from ISIS. The operation near Hawl happened only near the border, according to reports, and the ISIS use of chemical weapons near Tel Brak, so I think ISIS might still be there. Or maybe YPG has liberated the area. I don't know. I wish there were better sources. I'm just saying that there's a good chance that someone reverts your edit. Pbfreespace3 (talk) 16:17, 23 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The only sources we have of that front are maps. On 2th August, this map was published[1], on 8th August [2] this map was published. Both these mappers are considered reliable by most of the wikimappers. Lastly we have this. I know that maps can be unprecise, but having three mappers having this part as YPG-controlled, should be enough to change it.--Ahmetyal (talk) 16:33, 23 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Kurdish-majority provinces

Thanks, but this map is meant to reflect one specific source, the source provided in the description. If sources differ, and you want a map showing what another source says, I think it would be best if you'd upload a different map. Nyttend (talk) 00:54, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Portuguese singles chart

Yep, it is reliable. Hung Medien only recently started publishing the singles chart; previously they only published the top 30 of the albums chart. There's not a valid way to cite it using Template:Singlechart yet as someone hasn't added support for the Portuguese singles chart, but you can reference it manually. Thank you for the addition of information rather than pointless revert warring. I know this is kind of expected behavior but I have grown to resent editing current events over revert wars. Lets hope more clear information will come forward so that article is more stable. -- A Certain White Cat chi? 19:35, 9 July 2016 (UTC)
