Hi - Please do me the kindness of visiting and sharing your views at Wikipedia:Editor review/Rama's Arrow 2. I need your advice and criticism, and I would be immensely grateful if you could spare a little time on this. Thank you, Rama's arrow 15:44, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Sure. --Bhadani 18:50, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi I saw your message on my talk page. Does it mean you are dissociating yourself from this issue altogether or are you just referring to the content disputes that they are discussing on your page? Please clarify. If you have nothing to say on the matter, I may have to go to another admin. Sarvagnya 18:02, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- I am just suggesting to resolve the issues among yourselves. Being part of wikipedia, I can not dissociate myself fully and completely. Having said this, I would request you to please take up the matter with other administrator/s as I may not be able to go deep into the issues for personal reasons. Thanks and regards for reposing confidence in me. --Bhadani 18:14, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My dear Mr. Dieter A. Bachmann, namaskar. In fact, I never required any apology from you. I am returning the same without any interest as I never felt that one was due from you. As indicated in one of my e-mails to Sundar, I had clarified my position: I may have perhaps over reacted. However, I offer my apology to you for disturbing your peace of mind. Like you and several others, I too believe that we should continue to focus for the work for which we have gathered here, all other issues are subsidiary to that primary issue. We may inter-act less or may disagree on certain points, but we always agree that there should be less bull more writing, and the truth never depends on consensus. --Bhadani 18:35, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- thank you indeed, Bhadani, for your friendly comment. You have just restored some of my faith in Wikipedia. Yes, and now let us move on and muck out all that 'bull'. regards, dab (ᛏ) 19:42, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
When I was editing a few Indian food pages, I noticed you had also edited a few. Might I introduce you to our own stub for shapadam from the motherland? {{India-food-stub}}.Bakaman Bakatalk 00:50, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is to inform you that the project above is being considered for deletion. Please feel free to follow the links on the project page to participate in the discussion. Also, there is a more general project, Wikipedia:WikiProject Nepal, which you might be interested in. Thank you for your attention. Badbilltucker 15:24, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Hello. Thank you. In fact, I was myself thinking of recommending the pag4e for deletion, as I was not able to give further attention to the Project. Now, Wikipedia:WikiProject Nepal this should take care of the pages relating to Districts of Nepal. --Bhadani 14:36, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your warning to me, polls show that GWB is the worst president, so I don't see any reason not to redirect the pages to him. If a foreigner wonders, "who's the worst US president?" how will they know otherwise? Jiberole 03:02, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear admin,
Please do a favor for me.Please make this subsection of Belgaon article brief.few editors were unhappy of its length and went ahead to edit it which I didnt approve because they were missing some important points of either side.I request u to make it shorter yet include all important points of either side.I am concerned about NPOV.
If u are not able to do so please request some responsible and neutral person to do it.Thanks.

- Thank you for reposing confidence in me. However, I do not know much about the issues. I would request you to discuss the matter on the talk page of the article and enlist the assistance of editors who may be aware of the matter. Regards. --Bhadani 13:43, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Bhadani, it was awesome meeting you and the other wikipedia editors on Friday along with Jimmy Wales. I look to a fantastic relationship with all of you, and hope that we can do everything we can to make Wikipedia popular in India, and get more people to contribute to the Indian-language Wikipedias. Achitnis 13:56, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Thank you. We shall surely do it, and take the desire of Jimmy Wales to its logical conclusion by increasing the awareness about wikipedia in Indian languages. --Bhadani 14:08, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

- Thanks for the nice words. Hats off to the interest shown by you and others who travelled all the distance to just attend the meet. This is something that adds color to such meet ups. I'd been a little busy over the weekend and couldn't put time aside for the mails as much as I'd wished to. Cheers, --H P Nadig * \Talk \Contributions 15:21, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bhadaniji,
Thanks for your Ramadan greetings. I do miss things back home ... I don't know if you've ever been to the Muslim areas of any Indian city during Iftar time ... especially the street vendors/food stalls etc. In Bangladesh, the scenes are awesome, and the food items the best tasting of any time. I am scheduled to visit home this winter ... but I still miss not being there right now.
I saw your photo in a blog post on the Bangalore meetup, and it was nice seeing you all. I don't know if Jimbo will ever visit Bangladesh, but I hope I'll meet him sometime in the US. I also hope that the Bangla wikipedia will match the big ones soon. I don't have enough time for wikipedia these days because of my advanced PhD work, and for my focus on Bengali wikipedia development, but I try to edit here and there daily.
Wish you all the best. Don't know whether you celebrate Durga puja or not, but in any case, best wishes for the coming puja. --Ragib 07:59, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

- Thanks for your greetings - wish you and your family a happy Diwali and New Year. What did you discuss with Jimbo? What's the cue for the rest of us? Rama's arrow 16:27, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your work on the Dictionary of Hindu Lore and Legend, and the use of it to describe various hindu mythological creatures is very well done. You've covered many mythological creatures, and have gone to good lengths providing refernces to them. This may not have been possible if not for your contributions (so it seems judging from their history sections).

Hi Bhadani. The article Kaveri River was locked by User:Blnguyen on 25 September. He has since gone on wikibreak. Could you look into the possibility of unlocking that article? thanks. If you are concerned of the possibility that an edit war might ensue, I offer the suggestion that you could unlock the article, see what happens, and if an edit war ensues, you could lock it again. I don't know what the rules are for admins in this case, and perhaps that is not an option for you. Sincerely, --BostonMA 23:14, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

- We shall meet again. BTW, it has come up in the signpost: Jimbo meets with Wikipedians in India. I had made a request to Flcelloguy. I also thank you and through you to all others at Bangalore for organizing the Meet. My thanks are also to other friends who made a point to attend the Meet. Regards. To begin with, we may have a meeting in Chennai or again in Bangalore after few months. --Bhadani 12:51, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
