Oli London is an English media personality, YouTuber, TikToker, actor, singer, and model[1]. London began posting videos to YouTube in 2018. After a series of viral videos[2] [3], he quickly received mixed reception for his extensive plastic surgery, which was largely based around transforming from caucasian to Asian [4] [5] [6]. His appearances on numerous reality television shows[7] grew his online presence, and he launched a singing career on 3 February 2019 [8]. London has garnered a significant following, with verifications on Instagram and TikTok, and 109k and 111k followers, respectively. However, he has attracted numerous criticisms over his comments and behaviour [9] [10].

Career
[edit]After his appearances on Hooked On The Look [11], many YouTubers[12] began reacting and commentating on the episode[13]. It quickly went viral, and his channel received explosive growth. After moving to Los Angeles, he subsequently appeared on Dr. Phil[14] [15] and a host of other reality shows, including E! Botched[16] [17] [18] [19] and Daily Mail TV[20] [21]. Using his newfound fame, he launched a music career and became Europe's first K-pop star.
Discography
[edit]Oli´s music debut started on 3 February 2019, with the release of the single Perfection. Perfection received 1.9 million views but with mixed reception, with the negatives mainly focusing on the fact that he was white, but trying to become Asian [22]. Butterfly, Heart of Korea, and Mirror Mirror alongside Perfection have received 6 Million YouTube views [23]. Perfection reached #31 on the iTunes K-Pop chart. Later songs, such as Butterfly and Heart of Korea were total commercial successes, both reaching #8 on the iTunes K-Pop chart [24].
Controversy
[edit]He has been the subject of criticism in multiple YouTube videos, including one by the worlds most subscribed YouTuber, Pewdiepie. [25].

[edit]Oli London has appeared on CBS [26],NBC[27],BBC, E!, and OWN [28]. He has been a guest on Dr. Phil[29] and Botched[30]. In 2020 he appeared on BBC documentary series Being British East Asian [31]. He also appeared on Channel 5´s Plastic Surgery Knifemares[32] and Channel 4´s UK´s First Kpop Girl Group[33]. Throughout 2019, he also appeared in several shows in South Korea including Arirang TV [34], Arirang Radio [35]and has also appeared in a short documentary with The Korea Times [36]. He also appeared in an interview on Today Extra Australia [37].
