How do you remove the Louisiana Map? It is not accurate to the current location (Chattanooga, TN) and has nothing to do with the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.153.167.242 (talk) 16:19, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

I added the info on the Betty Blake Lounge out of pers knowledge, but I would like to see more info on the person Betty Blake. It is fact that she served as president of the line, and was at the for front of getting the needed exemptions, but the rumors of what she did to get them are, if true, very interesting. My questions to the Delta Queen's onetime "Riverlorian" who actually worked with Ms Blake only got a smile.Jtmilesmmr 20:15, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

How do you remove the Louisiana Map? It is not accurate to the current location (Chattanooga, TN) and has nothing to do with the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.153.167.242 (talk) 16:19, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Photos needed

More than one photo would be helpful. Interiors too. And photo in New Orleans location would be helpful. This is listed in the National Historic Landmark program as being located in New Orleans. Show us it is there (ever). doncram (talk) 17:20, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Of the photos of exterior and interior in the NRHP photo set linked in the article, selected ones (but not all) were taken by NPS employee and those may arguably be in the public domain. doncram (talk) 17:41, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Let me see if I have anymore Great Steamboat Race photos just of the Delta Queen.--Bedford 00:12, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Made in Scottland?

The hull, first two decks and steam engines were ordered in 1924 from the William Denny & Brothers shipyard on the River Leven adjoining the River Clyde at Dumbarton, Scotland. The Queen and her sister boat Delta King were shipped in pieces to Stockton, California in 1926. There the California Transportation Company assembled the two vessels..

According to ISBN 978-0964251359 only the hull was made (in pieces) in Scottland, shipped to California and assembled in Stockton, California. All decks and interior were built at the Stockton ship yard of the California Navigation & Improvement Company. Captndelta (talk) 07:50, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
