Antitrust on bing article
You don't just remove another person's research because you don't agree. If you dont like the words antitrust, then just rename the heading. Dont just go around deleting people's research that may have taken them time to write. Undid your revision and I reclassified the heading as "Marketing Practices". The first rule of Wikipedia is to do no harm - and to remove someone's research is doing harm to other readers of the article.68.2.137.33 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 17:37, 3 May 2010 (UTC).
Windows Live Drive
Since the link that you provided says that Live Drive is only for remotely exposing files (and the erstwhile OneView to access and search them), shouldnt the article be updated to say that Live Drive is not a hosting service.? --soum talk 10:10, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- Thats why I didnt do anything. But whatever is listed in the article seems to be in direct contradiction to what is said in the liveside blog entry!!! --soum talk 10:41, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- On another thought, I think both sides should be mentioned in the WL Drive article. No choosing one over the other. Just reporting both facets. What do you think? --soum talk 10:47, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Photos
Heya mate, I see you live in the northern suburbs. I was just wondering, do you or anyone you know have photos of the massive 1999 hailstorm that could be uploaded to Wikipedia under a free license? I'm currently writing an article about it (see User:Daniel/Sandbox/1999 Sydney hailstorm), and would love some images :) If you do, please drop me a note on my talk page; if not, no worries, keep up the great work with northern suburbs articles. Cheers, Daniel 09:18, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
- No worries - if you know anyone who has photos, please whack them over the head and get them to give them to you to upload :) Cheers, Daniel 12:40, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Macquarie Park Stn.
Hey! Thanks for the awesome pic of the new Macquarie Park station under construction! Where'd you get it from, and if you have any more, can you upload them? Thanks! Tuddy —Preceding signed but undated comment was added at 04:38, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- Ditto the above. How did you get that? JRG 06:15, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks!
Hi Pikablu. Thank you for your reply. I looked at the other pictures within that folder. Wow! The station looks almost finished! Do you know when it may be opening?I know it's sometime next year-but do you know what month? Do you know whether the Macq. Uni. station will connect with Macquarie Centre-or will you have to go on to Herring Road to access it. Thanks!! Confused - Windows Live Messenger
I see that you've reverted an edit I made to the Windows Live Messenger article (Dec. 05, 07), citing a reference which does not seem to pertain specifically to the FINAL release of WLM-8.5. The source in question, seems only to reference the 8.5 BETA.
I have since been all over the net, looking to download this final 8.5 release, but have so far come up empty handed. I have indeed found download sites offering a LEAKED version of this software (which I don't trust), but absolutely nothing official. Microsoft and other official Windows Live Messenger web-sites are still posting and calling version 8.5 a BETA.
Pardon me if I've overlooked something here... but I would kindly appreciate you providing me with an OFFICIAL source-link to obtain the FINAL 8.5 release. If such a link does not yet exist, perhaps it would be wise to correct the misleading information in the article instead. Thank you :) ~ 142.177.26.171 (talk) 02:15, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
- Me again. I'm not quite sure where I'm supposed to leave my replies, but one CAN be found on my temporary talk page. ~ 142.177.26.171 (talk) 08:29, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

The article seems to be about the user interface widget rather than the interface metaphor in general. Correct me if I am wrong but isn`t the widget still called Ribbon? In that case, isn't it better to undo the move? May be the Office 2007 section there should be renamed Fluent. --soum talk 03:23, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

West Metro
Can you please move the Western FastRail page back to what it was? They are completely different projects and you have no evidence that one is the replacement of the other. One page should mention the other one, but they should NOT share the same page. Reply here please. JRG (talk) 09:59, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Raiboxes
Hi thanks for your comments, I am enjoying doing the railboxes- helps me wind down. The issue with the North Shore I find a little vexed. I have kept the city destination on the right for all of the lines except the North Shore, the reason being that the North shore flows on from the Western Line at Town Hall/ Wynyard and I wanted the navigation to flow through. It does however I agree create a problem at Hornsby and Epping were other lines interface. I am happy to change its direction so that Central is on the right like the other lines, but will have to have a think about what to do at Town hall and Wynyard. I need to work out where to end the western line and start the North Shore line, they are of course continuations of the one line.MrHarper (talk) 02:00, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- Ive put the Western and North Shore both through to Wynyard, then North shore only beyond Wynyard, and I will reverse the direction of the North Shore line box between Milsons Pt and Hornsby. See how it goes. Regards, MrHarper (talk) 04:24, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- My understanding is that the Epping- Chatswood line will operate as a shuttle Epping---Chatswood only initially.MrHarper (talk) 05:39, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

I need you to update the North West Metro
It was only ever going to be a dream and just a matter of months into announcing the project, it will be scrapped indefinitely. Since you have contributed much to the article, i thought it be best for you to take over and add the various bits and pieces. Here is a ref to get you started. I of course would try and do it myself but theres a lot to be added so i would appreciate it. Thanks Monster Under Your Bed (talk) 04:34, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Re:Epping to Chatswood Link - New 2009 timetable
I've given it some thought, for now I've changed the ECRL boxes to say Northern Line (Epping- Chatswood). As it will be a shuttle service first, it may be best to leave it at that until through services start with the new timetable later in 2009. MrHarper (talk) 11:58, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Adware as a license (Windows Live Messenger)
Ad supported (adware) IS a license type; the license states that the software MAY download and display ads from the internet, as a method for financial supporting the software. Furthermore, a great deal of adware is label as such under License type; i.e: [[2]] HuGo_87 (talk) 14:28, 20 May 2009 (UTC) (sorry, forgot to sign)
Windows Live SkyDrive
Hi Pikablu0530,
Thanks for editing the Live Skydrive page and removing the guide for setting up skydrive as a network drive. You cited the reason that this is not an official feature of Skydrive.
I agree with that, however, this is a frequently sought after information and i would like to portray that somewhere on the page. Is it possible to create a section for it and put the guide under there (instead of under Features) ? Will that abide by the rules?
The guide is to a non-commercial, ad-free site with no incentives or promotions. Simply there to be of use.

Please assume good faith when dealing with other editors. I clearly did not mean to revert you on the article in question, and was obviously a mistake on my part. A contribution like mine of solely helping Wiki articles indicates that I am not involved in vandalism, and have no form in the area. Thanks. - This clearly must have been a misunderstanding as my edit comments on Windows Live Messenger was referring to the vandalism made by another user, and not referring to your edits. --Pikablu0530 (talk) 23:26, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Bing Videos article name
Hi. You reverted my move of Bing Videos to Bing Video, but I am fairly sure that Bing Video is the official name. Please see the talk page. Thanks. tktktk (talk) 18:10, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
A piece of hint
Let me give you a piece of hint. Not every subject in Wikipedia merits an article. (WP:GNG) However, some articles which are on the verge of deletion may be merged into other notable articles, so that they won't get deleted.
Also, not everything may be published on Wikipedia. (WP:NOT) However, not everything that is mistakenly published on Wikipedia needs to be deleted. You can always move it to Wikibooks, Wikiversity or Wikia.

Infobox issue on Windows Live articles
Hi, Damaster98
Two things:
- I've been visiting a number of Windows Live articles and I saw that some of them use {{Infobox software}} (WRONG) instead of {{Infobox website}} (Correct choice).
- While I was editing Windows Live, I removed the Orb icon. You know that this icon not used for quite a while, right? The orb still can be seen in other historic screenshot, so I thought I let it go.
I thought I notify you because you seem to be spending a great deal on these articles. Of course, feel free to undo my changes if you have a good reason for doing so; I won't persist. If anything came up and you needed a hand, drop me a line.
Fleet Command (talk) 15:25, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- No objections, you are right. Although I'm quite used to think web sites as every-changing organisms for which version info is... well, a bit... nonsensical. By the way, I'm curious, where do you get the version info of, say for example, Windows Live Skydrive? Is there an about dialog box or something? Fleet Command (talk) 17:45, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Self-published source issue in Windows Live Toolbar
Hi, Damaster98
I see that you have asserted that Windows Live Toolbar will be discontinued and provided as a source a link to your own blog post. What is your original source? Any citation from Microsoft? Fleet Command (talk) 11:31, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. That's just about enough – for now. But of course, I'd rather we use a better source when it became available. Fleet Command (talk) 17:02, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
Self-published source issue in Bing Bar
Hi again, Damaster98
So, tell me, how do you ([3]) know that Bing Bar is Silverlight-powered? (Correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression that Silverlight, like Adobe Flash, is used to develop web applications, not toolbars.)
Thanks in advance, — Fleet Command (talk) 10:20, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
- Alright, I am wrong: It is not YOU who asserted this toolbar to be Silverlight-powered. Sorry for my mistake. But anyway, what do you know about this Silverlight-powered assertion? Do you agree or not?
- — Fleet Command (talk) 10:24, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the sources. They are just as reliable as LiveSide, no more and no less. But I am going to use them too: I have found an authoritative source! It's the third home page of Bing Bar: www.microsoft.com/toolbar. (Yes, it's a very strange thing to do, setting up multiple home pages.)

Removal of SVG WinMesh logo
As you can see, the SVG logo for Windows Live Mesh I created here is not badly put together as much as rendering weird in the size the article implies. I've spent a while working on a workaround, but have finally found that no matter what I do, things no longer work lower than a 68px width. Therefore, I think it would be completely appropriate to re-insert the image at a width of, say, 70px or more.
75 pixels | 70 pixels | 69 pixels | 68 pixels | 67 pixels | 66 pixels |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
75px | 70px |
I would insert it myself, but I think it would be more appripriate to ask you, the one who deleted it, what you think, before I do.
