Nah i doubt they will if the evictions cancelled tonight. I think the execs put two more in there than they needed at the start so they would be safe if two left. And now with the third gone, theyre in trouble unless they halt tonights eviction. --[[User:Lewisjg|Lewisjg]] 14:33, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

An entry on the Channel 4 website mentions Leo had a discussion with BB about having to wash his own underwear (shock!) he was being a big baby... he didn't want to demean himself. If that's why he left, he'll look like even more of a tool than he could imagine. The tabs will have a field day. --[[User:Bigdaddyhame|Bigdaddyhame]] 14:45, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Infobox

The infobox should not be added until the show starts. When it does start, the correct template to use is {{Big Brother housemates}}. Tra (Talk) 15:09, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm watching too!

Stop edit conflicting me! Dev920 (Have a nice day!) 20:18, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I was editing whilst you were, and editing first :) - Go ahead. You update the page.
Only cos I had the window open too long. Don't forget to sign your posts with 4 tildes. Dev920 (Have a nice day!) 20:23, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm just doing the contestants - feel free to write up anything else. Dev920 (Have a nice day!) 20:24, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sticking to the contestant's own pages. Jammy Simpson | Talk | 20:37, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I feel this should be locked so that only registered users can edit it. Already there has been several childish vandalsim attempts Stella Cerveza
Not quite sure why people are deleting and replacing relevant information.

jackie stallone was the oldest contestant ever, not ken russell

I requested SPP and it has now been locked. Please sign your posts with 4 tildes. Dev920 (Have a nice day!) 20:52, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

yes i agree, jackie stallone is the older than ken russell at the time she went in.

ken russell is the oldest man...idiots

Jackie Stallone was born in 1921 Russell in 1927. Article edited accordingly. Please see imdb.com for further clarification. Stella Cerveza

lol, funny stuff this. I came on to check just who the hell one of them was not expecting to find any answer but you are editing as it goes--Josquius 21:08, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rofl, someone added kilroy to the list?

HMs dissapeared

What happened to the list of HMs?? It just went poof!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.2.2.85 (talk) 21:06, 3 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

The article is coming under heavy vandalism because so many peopel are goign to look at it. Someone just blanked the page, but I've reverted them. Dev920 (Have a nice day!) 21:10, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Can we have an admin on standby to semi-protect all the HM pages as they come up, please, if one of them happens to lurk around here? I'm sending out vandalism warnings to them all as and when but...it's not exactly effective. Jammy Simpson | Talk | 21:13, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Shilpa Shetty has been vandalised (and reverted) at least once already sheridan 21:16, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Something needs doing, already i have removed a fair amount of vandalism. This page will end up severely vandalised or a full time job if something isnt done. Stella Cerveza

Housemates' articles

Is it necessary for them to have separate sections for CBB tagged as current events? — AnemoneProjectors (talk) 21:16, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It limited the vandalism damage (to a degree - by giving them a target, if nothing else), and I imagine there will be significant expansion. These sections may no longer be relevant at the end of the series, but I believe for the moment, a large volume of readers using these articles will be looking for information specifically about their actions on CBB. Jammy Simpson | Talk | 21:41, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Erm, hello, i'm quite new to wikipedia, and just deleted a piece of vandalism on the shilpa shetty page. i was wondering, is there some sort of protocol i have to follow after doing this? Dannyfrankland 22:26, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just removing the vandalism is fine. — AnemoneProjectors (talk) 00:39, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Robert Kilroy Silk

Not announced, removed. Samuel 21:29, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A darn shame! I was looking forward to seeing him humiliating himself. Hazzamon 21:31, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps he is too well known to have appeared... Halsteadk 17:03, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean "too well known" you could say Michael Barrymore was to well known to have appeared and Mark Owen Jezabelda 00:20, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Housemate images

Unfortunately, a lot of housemate images are likely to be fair use. From with previous Big Brother series, it is generally not acceptable to have more than a few fair-use images on one page, and if images were only included for some of the housemates then the article would be biased towards them. A compromise, therefore, would be to have the images only on the housemates' individual articles. Tra (Talk) 18:54, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I agree but would it not be acceptable to place screenshots for all of the housemates? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jezabelda (talkcontribs)

Have a look at the discussion here. The main problem is that there has to be a 'limited number' of images included, and having pictures for all the housemates does not count as a limited number. Tra (Talk) 19:49, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Also, each of the housemates has their own article, unlike in the main series. The pictures should be adequate in individual articles. --Majorly (Talk) 19:51, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Weasel Words

In the summer, the BB7 article was plagued with what wikipedia calls "weasel words". Can we please be mindful with this article, that this does not happen again? Triangle e 23:39, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Donny Tourette Walks?

According to the sidebar, Donny Tourette has walked off the show. However, he was present during the live show tonight. Canyone care to explain? Ixistant 01:07, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A reference has now been added which is for digital spy and confirms Donny has been REMOVED and has not walked for climbing over a wall and "escaping". It has not been confirmed on the official site but there is usually a delay in news. Jezabelda 01:33, 6 January 2007

Is DigitalSpy a valid and reliable source as per WP:RS? I'm not sure; wouldn't it be better to quote and reference the C4 BB site instead? Ekantik talk 02:11, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In a peer review for the article on the previous series, it was suggested that the article is not sourced entirely from the official website, in order to reflect the huge media coverage generated. Tra (Talk) 02:35, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the clarification. Does this mean that DigitalSpy is a reliable source, though? Ekantik talk 02:41, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think so - they have editorial oversight, the identities of the authors are published, they publish accurate information. I think they would be a secondary source, rather than C4, which are more of a primary source. Tra (Talk) 02:54, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now that the sites have been updated, was Donny ejected or did he walk? The Channel 4 article doesn't say, Digital Spy says he was ejected but on both sites, in the scrolling bar of housemate photos, he's listed as walked. Tra (Talk) 16:51, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, on trhis page, in places it says donny walked on day 4, yet in other places its says day 3. which is correct? Dannyfrankland 23:36, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Channel 4 website and Digital Spy both say Day 4. J Di talk 23:42, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think Day 4 was when the article was published, since the escape took place shortly before midnight. This BBC article says it happened on Friday, i.e. Day 3. Tra (Talk) 18:41, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So should the article be changed? Tra (Talk) 22:01, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think it should be. J Di talk 22:03, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Protect Page

It is an absolute nightmare keeping this page vandal free, people delete things and add abusive things all the time. I think this page should be protected from any newly registered or not registered users. Jezabelda 01:41, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You can consider registering a request for semi-protection at WP:RFP. I've already done so for Shilpa Shetty which I've been working on for the last coupla weeks or so. Ekantik talk 02:11, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Weeks

In BIG BROTHER not real life weeks run from saturday to friday and it is the goal of the housemates to survive the week before evictions on fridays (usually). Therefore week 2 began on day 4 regardless of the housemates only being in the house for 3 days. Jezabelda 21:39pm, 7 January 2007

What's wrong with a ten day week, apart from it not being a week..? The first week in the Big Brother 2006 (UK) article is nine days long, and it ends with the first eviction. J Di talk 21:35, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I just think its simple and easier to understand and the format of weeks remains the same throughout so there is no further confusion - sat - friday Jezabelda 21:39pm, 7 January 2007
Starting with a three day week is confusing. J Di talk 21:56, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The weeks should be eviction-determined, rather than Sunday-Friday. Therefore, Day 9 is the first day of week two (the first eviction is Day 8). Geoking66 03:55, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Shouldn't be eviction determined as that means day 9 and 10 will be the only days in week 2. Leave it as weeks sat - friday as various evictions will take place as there are 11 housemates to get rid of in just four weeks so several evictions will take place each week Jezabelda 00:11, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Master & Servant Task

Since it's over (and they passed) I'm switching a few things to the past tense. Torontois 05:02, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Leo Sayer escapes

Has anyone noticed that an article went up on the channel 4 website stating that Leo Sayer had escaped, but giving no details save that voting is suspended.Oli 14:06, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I saw that too. Good for him! Good for the show. He was a prick anyway. What a horrible bunch of quitters they've got here. They're going to need to bring in someone else. --Bigdaddyhame 14:14, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
