I've moved all dead conversations to my new archive. -Drdisque 22:03, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Youth Sports? PSA Sport

In response to what you have said, i do think that the articles are important, however if you think that they are not fit for their own article, then copy them into the Public Schools Association page. The PSA Swimming article (which i did not create) has been on wikipedia for a decent length of time and not a single soul has questioned its notability etc. No offence but it is relatively harsh to make a judgement on articles from a different country/continent than the one you are from/reside in, where you know nothing/very little about the sports league. What do you think? Add into PSA Article or leave as they are? - Smbarnzy 07:08, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nutsack

"nobody calls Paul Tracy "nutsack" and nobody thinks you're funny -Drdisque 18:17, 19 February 2006 (UTC)"

Actually, you are wrong :-)

http://groups.msn.com/sportsrageaholics/23rdcolumn.msnw

"Tracy (or "Nutsack," as he likes to be called) and Tagliani have been jawing at each other all year long, with Nutsack telling Tags to shut up and win something. He did, and is now just 16 points behind Tracy and would like nothing more than to win his second race of his career in Montreal. He will."

Heinen's

You recently weighed in on the "Heinen's" AfD. Your comment was:

Delete an unremarkable neighborhood grocery store clearly fails WP:CORP

I think you misunderstand. Heinen's is a chain-store with over 2000 employees. It was listed as one of the top 50 growing business is Ohio. It passes WP:CORP. Please re-visit your vote! ---J.S (t|c) 23:14, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, if someone misunderstands the article in question, it is not uncalled for to ask them to revisit the evidence. Look at my contributions... I only contacted you. ---J.S (t|c) 23:46, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Auto racing world

The article is listed under afd here. I noticed that you left a message on the article's talk page. Royalbroil 14:42, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

vandalism

All editing I have done of the British Library page has been legitimate - there is even discussion on the discussion page. I am bemused as to the idea that this is anything more than a one off - I did it to check a response time of reversion before getting popups to help undo vandalism under my user account.--81.1.115.179

If you were not referring to the British Library page, why was that the subject of your edit? Also it is highly unnecessary to comment about the racing page when I had already recieved a comment about that - check the history.--81.1.115.179
The reason there are different sub-headings is so you can identify what somone is talking about. You have said yourself this is different from any British Library discussion, so why did you add it under that sub-heading? - surely that misses the point of the system? There is also no need to repeat your points - I have taken that on board and will not delete things promptly again.--81.1.115.179

WikiProject NASCAR proposed standards

WikiProject NASCAR needs your help! We are in the process of forming our proposed standards which, when complete, will hopefully become a Wikipedia guideline. The guidelines will help editors understand Wikipedia consensus about things like which NASCAR-related articles meet notability standards. Please stop by and let us know what you think! IRL Seasons' Drivers Complete

Well, I think I am done with the IRL Seasons. Unless I missed something, all of the drivers now have their own article. I think that I created the last 17 of them; thanks again for your encouragement. Some of them, particularly Allen May, David Kudrave, Mike Shank, and Zak Morioka might bear a look by you to make sure that I got them right and that you have nothing else to add. Something to possibly think about in the future, if you or I are feeling ambitious, might be to start putting some common templates on each driver's page, possibly something like an infobox or a common race history format, to show at-a-glance season summary results or something like that. Maybe something like the Formula One section on the Jacques Villeneuve article. Let me know if you have any ideas or want to collaborate in the future.--Brian G 21:17, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I've been working my way backwards through the Indy 500s and have created articles now for everyone back through 1984. I was hoping that you could take a look at Spike Gehlhausen. I combined data from USAC and CART that happened before and after the transition in 1979 and would appreciate your opinion if I could have done a better job with this. Thanks --Brian G 15:59, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Indy 500 Results incorrect?

Please check out the note that I left at User talk:Mycroft.Holmes#Yearly Indy 500 Results. I've found errors in results for 1971, which I've not fixed yet, and so I've started at 2006 and started to work backwards. I've found some errors in each of 2004, 2005 and 2006 so far. I'm guessing there will be more. It is taking me quite a bit of effort to check all of these and get them right, so if you think that you have a good source or some other quick way to verify all of this, please let me know. --Brian G 01:19, 2 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RfA

Hi, I was looking through some old RfA's and saw that you have previously been unsuccessful before. Now that you have six months more experience, I would like to nominate you again if you would like me to, I have seen a lot of your edits whilst browsing, and you seem like a good user. Let me know if you want me to go ahead with this nomination. Abcdefghijklm 17:42, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your Scott Dixon edit

I note your edit to Scott Dixon where you said in the summary "(rm child of New Zealand racecar drivers)". What do you mean? You actually removed an accurate category. Dixon has often stated he considers himself to be a New Zealander, and he calls Auckland home. Moriori 22:04, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Red zones

Please define "red zones of Wikipedia," as I'm not sure what you mean. I haven't heard this term used to describe any specific section of the site. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 04:01, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Thanks for your correction on IRL related pages. May I ask you, if it is possible to change the page Fermin Velez to Ferín Vélez? I think this is the right spelling. Doma-w 12:45, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you are right, but both of your sources were English... But the nationality of this driver is Spanish! Please see, that your first source also says Fermín source 1
Please be so kind and have a look at this Spanish webside: source 3 Doma-w 18:18, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I am sorry! Fermín Vélez! No question about the "m"! The different is í and é. :-) Doma-w 18:34, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Didier André

Thanks again for your help on IRL! Please have a look at Didier Andre maybe you will change his name to the right French spelling Didier André? Also there is still an é missing in Fermín Velez to the right Spanish spelling Fermín Vélez. Thanks Doma-w 13:46, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Laurent Redon

Hi! I have found, that you moved Laurent Redon to Laurent Rédon. But I think, that the accent is not right? I can not find a single (French) web-page with é. Thanks! Doma-w 00:05, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tagging articles for speedy deletion

When you tag articles for speedy deletion, you need to put a notice on the talk page of the user that created the page. This lets them add {{hangon}} in case you were mistaken or they just weren't done. Each template lists the correct message near the bottom of the box. Just copy the message and go. They even include the tildes for your signature. Will (Talk - contribs) 04:43, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Something wrong

Maybe I am doing something wrong at Misunderstandings about evolution/TheoryvsFact. It is a part of the talk page discussion. Did I put in the wrong place?--Filll 05:19, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OOps sorry I will move it. --Filll 05:23, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BICMAN

What is wrong with a page about Bicman? All the facts are there, and Bicman is a significant influence on Reno's youth. Although an inanimate object, Bicman deserves his own page! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Yankeehatr10 (talkcontribs) 05:32, 11 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]
