Triffids version is excessive without rationale

Why is this section so detailed? Neither Bell’s version sees such treatment re: details, nor does the Triffid’s own page devote much more than a single line. I don’t mind this as I believe more info is better contrary to several Wikipedia policies. Regardless, if some reasoning were added here why the Triffid’s version deserves the exposure, then I can see that being helpful to understand why the detail lends an air of importance that is otherwise not supported currently.
