The "Total Fatalities" section of this article says "1,392", which is the updated, and currently correct number, while the intro to this article says "1,836", which was the old death toll prediction. When Hurricane Harvey’s total damage was estimated at $125 billion in 2017, why did Katrina’s total damage increase $108 billion to $125 billion? If it’s inflation, why isn’t the total damage for other destructive hurricanes like Andrew or Ivan increased. Reported fatalities and all related content on this page should be updated to reflect revised official estimates of fatalities from the National Hurricane Center at NOAA, publicly reported in the following report, revised in January 2023: https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/data/tcr/AL122005_Katrina.pdf
In particular, the Impact section and accompanying table currently draw upon outdated NOAA reports and should be updated to reflect the January 2023 revisions. 24.206.78.14 (talk) 18:35, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. HouseBlastertalk 21:21, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
