Too Big

This article is really unwieldy and there are several sections that could be condensed/spun off. there are a lot of sections that go into what is probably excessive depth when there are articles that cover the issues more specifically. Humok (talk) 13:00, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

-The article mentions that during the Kosovo War, 13,548 civilians and fighters died. However, the war started on 28 February 1998 and ended on 11 June 1999. The main source (Kosovo Memory Book) includes deaths from 1 January 1998 to 16 December 2000. While it makes sense to say that the killings before 28 February 1998 and after 11 June 1999 were war-related, they were nevertheless not done during the war and should be in other articles (like [[Insurgency in Kosovo (1995–1998)|Kosovo Insurgency]], or some other article about post-war conflict). And there were certainly deaths in 1997 that were related to the war that followed that are not in the memory book at all; if 1997 is excluded, why should 2000 be included? Therefore, I think it would make sense to only include deaths that happened during the ''Kosovo War'' in this article. Per HLC, that would mean 12,092 total deaths during war, of which 9,035 civilian (8,391 Albanian, 450 Serb, 128 Roma, 66 others) and 3,057 military deaths (of which, 2,036 Albanian, 948 Serb, 16 Montenegrin, 55 others). We could alternatively just add information in the infobox (like 13,548 deaths (12,092 during the war)) etc. Opinions?
