Phenom is the AMD processor line based on the K10 microarchitecture. [1] Dual-core versions (codenamed Kuma) will carry the name "Phenom X2", quad-core versions (codenamed Agena) will carry the name "Phenom X4", and high-end versions for AMD Quad FX platform (codenamed Agena FX) will carry the name "Phenom FX". The processors will be on the Socket AM2+ platform[2], with the exception of the high-end model which will only be available for Socket F. According to the Inquirer[3], the dual core K10 processors without L3 cache (codenamed Rana) will still be named Athlon 64 X2.
